Guest guest
Thank you ,that would answer a lot of questions. Appreciate a lot. One thing I should be grateful to have CML and its treatment, its is blessinmg than wait and see game. God bless T Zero club#764 Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry [ ] Re: CLL information request Hi , CLL is a very different form of leukemia than CML. It's not unusual at all to monitor a patient with CLL and withhold treatment until the counts get very high. Then the patient is usually given a short course of chemotherapy and is back in a wait and see pattern with no treatment which could last several months and even years before another round of treatment is required. Gleevec does not work for CLL. If you search around, I'm sure you'll be able to find a support group somewhere. They seem to exist for every ailment known to man. Take care, Tracey > > Does anyone have information on CLL treatment and if they are using gleevec too. I have a friend of mine her husband was dxd w CLL few month ago. His white blood cell is 17000 His Onc Dr did not give him any treatment and told her he will monitor him. Her husband now has been in hospital sick w pneumonia. I asked her to ask for second opinion. Does any one has information on CLL. I planning to check intertnet and find if there is a CLL group she can benefit from. Guest guest
Thank you Greg very helpfu resources. I have forward your email. THanks T Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry [ ] Re: CLL information request Hi , Here are a couple of resources. I've been on the CLL Topics site before. The other I have not fully explored. CLLtopics.org - based in Sedona, Arizona http://blog.preparedpatientforum.org/blog/tag/cll-leukemia/ Also, our friend Schorr, a CLL Survivor himself, is the head of Patient Power www.patientpower.info. He has a wealth of information on the site for CLL as well as many other cancers, etc. Hope this helps, Greg > > Does anyone have information on CLL treatment and if they are using gleevec too.
