Guest guest
To my juicing comprades, I did my first today and it was absolutely delicious. We tried lettuce, but all it did was pack down, we had to pluck it out. I used carrots, an apple, grapes and threw in a peeled lemon for good measure. Even Jimmy thought it was good. He even got it out of the box, washed it, pureed everything and cleaned it and picked it up for the next time. Sorry girls, he's taken. LOL I just used what I had. I also added a smidgeon of purple grape juice and that made it even better. Thank you for all of your ideas. I will try zucchini when I go to the store and look around to see what else I can find. Can you use turnips, I would think if you can use a root vegetable like carrots, you could also use that. I just can't use anything with potassium, like melons which I would love to have. I have not bought one melon this year and my mouth has been watering for them all summer. When I was pregnant for my first child, we took a trip from the east coast to the west coast. I had morning sickness 24/7 and the only thing I ate was fruit. There was a Chinese farmer who came around every day and I would buy a dozen navels and eat them all. We stopped at a restaurant in Bakersfield, coming out of the Mojave desert and I asked for canteloupe. She said they had only one left and she pointed to the man who had ordered it. I got up and told him I was pregnant and had to have that canteloupe, so he said I could have it. Chivalry is not dead.
