You may want to check out Mark Konlee's site at:

I've tried that. Didn't seem to do any good that I could tell. However,

I'm very resistant to therapy for some reason or another. There are

only a very few things that I've found helpful.

Yes. I'm amazed that a doctor would understand this! For more info

Phil: I have done some homeopathics. I am not sure what your symptoms are

but I have a homeopathic version of HGH. Human Growth Hormone. Its

expensive but I like it and it gives me energy. Don't take it too close to

bedtime...you'll be jacked up all night. Get it in the spray kind. Also, I

have taken something called Probiotics which helps fight stomache bacteria by

giving other good bacteria Homeopathy is great but a warning that you can

spend a fortune on what they call supplements. It gets out of hand

sometimes. I have had very good results pain and energywise at times with

regular chiropractic adjustment. xoxoxoxoxo Shell

So a virus is really just like a short " computer

program " ? It contains the information in the DNA or

RNA and then just duplicates it in the cells of the

host? Is that how we can imagine it? So if we get

the flu, caused by a virus, how does our body finally

stop the disease?

Ellis,

> So a virus is really just like a short " computer program " ?

Yes, and some computer programs are just like viruses. (Windoze 95, for

example. :)

> It contains the information in the DNA or

> RNA and then just duplicates it in the cells of the

> host? Is that how we can imagine it?

Yes, I imagine viruses to look like little oddly shaped balls that contain

strands of genetic material. They manage to make their way into cells by

various sneaky mechanisms and then use the machinery inside the cell to

produce more copies of themselves. They cannot breed or multiply on their

own, which is among the reasons it is hard to consider them living

organisms.

> So if we get the flu, caused by a virus, how does our body finally stop

the disease?

This is a huge complicated field about which I know very very ittle. But

that's never stopped me before so here goes...

Basically a type of white blood cell -- the " B " type I think -- creates

antibodies to a particular virus after the immune system first encounters

it. Antibodies are protein molecules that bind to the virus and prevent it

from binding to cells, or in other ways prevent it from acting. Once the

immune system starts making these antibodies it is almost impossible for the

virus to live in the immunized host body. It is possible to trick the immune

system into thinking it encountered a particular virus by injecting the body

with a dead or less dangerous form of it. This is how we stopped the polio

virus in America, for example, and this is why everyone should get a flu

shot.

Some viruses are tough to beat because they keep mutating. The HIV virus is

one such virus. I'm not sure why the herpes virus is so tough but it's

likely due to the fact that it too keeps mutating, and/or that there are so

many strains of it. Likewise with the common cold.

It's thought that polio became a problem as a result of improved sanitation

in the 1900's. The virus was around for centuries but was held in check by

the immune systems of infants and toddlers. It became an epidemic because

improved sanitation resulted in many people becoming adults without ever

having been exposed to the virus. Most adults did not have the necessary

antibody and this gave the virus an opportunity to spread and kill hundreds

of thousands of people before we finally invented a vaccine.

You have the virus called W32.Badtrans.

Go to http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.badtrans.13312mm (DOT) html

to learn to remove it from your system.

Please don't use your email program to email anyone until you have removed it.

HOWEVER, there are some 50,000 real viruses out there, and if you're reading

this

message, it means you have access to e-mail, most likely on your own computer.

Some older viruses are relatively benign, but many new viruses can cause serious

damage to the files on your computer. Unless you remembered to buy AND use that

back-up device for your computer (I have an 8 GB tape drive), once something is

gone, it's gone forever unless you have it on a CD or diskette you know to be

virus free. There are a few very good antivirus software packages out there.

Buy one, and keep it updated. Personally I like Norton Antivirus, but McAfee is

also good. For around $60, you can buy some software that will protect your

computer from viruses. Now, you can buy a new hard drive for a couple hundred

bucks, but how much is the information stored on that hard drive worth to you?

How long would it take to replace it, and how much time, energy and money would

it cost?

For me, if I had a complete hard drive crash I could be up and running in about

3

hours. NAV scans and protects against 49404 viruses on my machine. It IS worth

considering.....

Me.

Manda,

help me with this? So I opened it and downloaded it.

Trish,

I had a virus months earlier (I still am not sure from who or even when)

and had to clean my hard drive, I too lost everything and am in the

process of building back my lists. I got that " nice lady " " please help

me with this " E-Mail as well. I just deleted it because I did not know

her and I was freshly traumatized by the last virus. be careful

everyone!!! I even am reluctant to open attachments from people I know,

not because I do not trust them, but because of the Trojans, worms, and

piggyback viruses!!! I am not computer literate nor is my hubby, we have

been fortunate that the last virus was the first time this happened to

us, ignorant as we are!!!!

Hi everyone,

I don't post much, because I work so many hours. But just in case, I wanted

to let you know, I work for Deloitte & Touche Consulting, we are a worldwide

consulting firm. We just received a voice mail asking everyone to get

totally off the internet because of this virus. They said they would let us

know via voice mail when it was safe to sign back onto the internet. If we

are using internal networks at our own Company, it seems to be still secure.

But anything that takes out the the worldwide web is causing extreme damage

to computers and servers.

Just thought you might like to know. Hope you have all your files backed-up

Yes , our virus protection has caught them also, mine came through "from" Caver and one from 1465 and another from _akmeyer. When you check the properties on these messages they all have the caversa@... e-mail address. Subjects were different on each message as well as who it was from. Further checking resulted in the same e-mail for all of them.

The current level of virus infection of computers is higher than it has

ever been. The Klez (various levels) virus is sneaky. It's been around

since spring. It regularly sends itself out with a terse message to any

adress it can find in the infected computer (not just the address

book). It lies about the return address so the irate responses go to

some innocent computer owner. Because it doesn't reveal itself to the

computer owner, it has been hard to eradicate because the internet is

basically anonymous.

Since Klez, other viruses have followed that path. Keep your Norton up

to date and encourage everyone you know to get Norton or an equivalent

virus program and keep the virus definitions updated weekly. It's a

real jungle out there. These viruses are silent, but they try to

disable any protection your computer has if they get in.

I always check the warning before I do anything and make sure it isn't a hoax,

since I got caught on that once before. I never do anything unless I make sure

it isn't a hoax and is the " real Thing " .

My Thoughts on Viruses.....

In today world where there are major problems and major problem makers -

everyone should have virus protection on their computer. Sending out warnings

are good - but everyone needs to take responsibility for checking out the

possibility that these could be false - because our world isn't perfect - our

world and the people in it can be strange and get some strange kick out of

messing other people's computers. I check

Do you mean she turns her letters the right way when she's sick, and the rest

of the time they're backwards? What's so odd is that my daughter has been

writing her name for months now and she has never written any of it backwards.

In

her case I really think it's got something to do with whatever virus she's

dealing with now.

One of the things that showed how badly Singulair was messing up my son was

that while he was on it he couldn't write much at all. Letters like

chicken-scratch, all over the page or backwards. A couple of days off Singulair

and he

could write his name quite well.

I have observed something similar in my 6 yr old - once we started

GFCF, enzymes, getting rid of gut bugs, etc, we saw a huge improvement

in her handwriting. However, if she is sick, she tends to write

letters (not whole words) backward. Once she is well, she reverts to

her now very good penmanship. Hope your daughter feels better.
