Hi

I really can't find a way of taking those powdered greens!

What I do is make green soup .... courgette, spinach, celery, watercress, spring

onion any green veg, bit of potato to help thicken it when whizzed up. And

before I whizz it I add fresh greens like parsley, sprouts, cress in order to

capitalize on the non cooked enzymes.

With bouillion (stock) a blob of butter , lemon (also good for alkaline) and

pepper to taste it is VERY palatable.

Hope all is well with you ... I am good!

Hi Carl (East Coastie),

All the green drinks are alkaline (GreensFirst is a good one, but there are

many). To first turn my esophagus/stomach situation around, I used a product

by Garden of Life called Acid Defense. I would mix it up (in warm water) before

bed and sometimes again in the AM. Sprouted seeds and nuts are alkaline, as well

as many foods. If you don't like eating 'greens' you can easily do a blender

drink and add the greens to pre-made carrot juice or apple juice. For me, it

really settles my stomach.

I am doing well on Tasigna, for almost 9 mo now.

I hope you are doing well on your medication.

Hi Beth,

Glad to hear you are doing well. Did you have your consult at HH?

GreensFirst is really quite palatable. At first it was too minty and people

complained and they changed the mix. When I think I have not been getting enough

veggies, I will drink it first thing in the AM (it is comparable to 10+ servings

of fruits and veggies, all organic). I know others who take it with them when

they travel, to compensate for bad diet.

Your soup sounds good and this is getting to be soup weather. What is courgette?

also once before you mentioned celery root and I saw that in the market. I did

make a broccoli soup with rice milk and a potato to thicken....can't eat too

much broccoli I guess.

Hope you continue to share some of your healthy eating tips with us.
