I was the one who asked about people's MTX experiences because I

suspected I might need to go on it. I saw the rheumy today and she

confirmed my suspicion that the Plaquenil is not doing enough. I left

with prescriptions for MTX and folic acid. There is no longer any

doubt about the diagnosis of RA; the reality of that hit me today.

Unfortunately, a few hours after the appointment I had to go in to

work for a special event--a party. I felt distracted and introverted

and had to force myself to go through the necessary motions.

I am very nervous about starting the MTX because medications always

seem too strong for me. I don't want to shuffle around in a state of

nausea and I don't want to lose any hair. I'm going to re-read all

the MTX postings. They were helpful before.
