Guest guest
With regard to bacteria resistant to anti-biotics, this seems to be maybe one way they will deal with that. This professor is a great speaker. The problem is bacteria evolve. Those that aren't killed by the anti-biotic reproduce others who won't be killed by the anti-biotic, and there comes a point that the anti-biotic won't do the job. She says bacteria communicate--they have a " chemical " language, and one of the things they are looking into is creating artificial bacteria that could be injected that would " jam " that communication. This would bypass the problem of the evolutionary " survival of the fittest " bacteria problem. Sounds neat. Hope it works. http://www.ted.com/talks/bonnie_bassler_on_how_bacteria_communicate.html
