hi lottie,

u r still the sunflower sunshine in my life. i dont post very much as i have a

lot going on in my life other than cml. my onc and nurse is going to work with

me on getting help. i go in for a checkup and bloodwork on monday jan 17th at

univ of chicago. yes i am still on 400mg gleevec daily since feb 2002 and in

pcru for 8 years. just another hurdle i didnt need at this point in my life. it

just seems when i get a little breathing room, something else gets thrown my

way. i wont worry lottie, just a little discouraging. you think after being in a

trial for 10years and being a good little patient and doing whatever they wanted

me to do, we could get our drug for free for life like the earlier trials. the

people in the early trials of gleevec are getting their gleevec for life free of

charge. it would b nice if they could make a generic form. luv you and miss you

lottie.

p.s. has anyone heard from norma bidelman? lynn andrews?

> Dear , here you go worrying again. There are patient assistance companies

that help you with your drugs. I would like to see everyone who gets assistance

to tell where they get t heir drugs, how simple it is to apply, so she can

stop worrying herself to death. Let's get her on the right path so she will

know what to do next. What trial is that, , Gleevec. If so, Gleevec has

patient assistance for about a year and then they sic you on to someone else

like Patient Services, Incorporated. They will work with your plan D and pick

up your co-pay. If anyone knows a person or corporation who wants to donate to a

cancer cause, this is the place. They cannot do this without the support of

these organizations. I am sure some of the donations come from workers. Take a

deep breath and get on the net and you will figure something out. Let us know

what you find out. I don't hear from you often, but you are still in my heart,

my Sunflower. LOL
