This is an appeal to our friends, Barb Stanely and Pat Elliot to go out and

give those tickets to CML patients and their families out in the Phoenix area.

(LOL ladies). Maybe the Phoenix will rise from the ashes and attend as well.

Remember that the meeting will be filmed and shown at the National CML Society

website. Maybe Greg will let us know when this is set up on the site. Stay

tuned.

What a wonderful opportunity so hear this great doctor who's name precedes him

wherever he goes. Greg has other sessions like this planned for around the

country and the people are clamoring for him to go to their city. I hope he

comes to New Orleans, I would love to be in the company with such learned

people. Maybe he should have a lottery. LOL

I met so many nice people at ASH, which I will probably never get the

opportunity to have again. It was almost " magical " , not only meeting the people

associated with it, but what was going on behind closed doors at the sessions.

For me it would have been better than a Mardi Gras parade during carnival. Dr.

Talpaz came out to the lobby where we were all having coffee and told me as he

was leaving, not to worry, there were more drugs coming down the pipeline. He

knows that I an old timer because of my stubborn resistance to anything so far.

Maybe Ariad will change all that. Bobby is our poster child, along with Beth.

It didn't work for our friend, Jackie, but she gave it a whirl, too. Is there

someone else in our group on Ariad? I don't want to leave anyone out, so speak

out. Above all, please speak out with your opinion and whether you think there

is a better solution without breaking the bank, so to speak. Remember to be

civil, so everyone will get something out of the debates to help form their own

opinions. Please give us some citations that we can look up and read the entire

article to our own satisfaction.
