Guest guest
Dear Karine, The drug that made Jimmy sick is Sodolol and he is now off it and feeling a bit better. He will see the cardiologist tomorrow about what the next step will be. After reading several posts from the group, I suspect it could be coumidin, but a pace maker was listed as a possibility. It seems like coumidin is a valuable tool for this problem, and if he needs it, so be it, he said he is ready for it. He takes a basket full of drugs. I see him taking it out every day and setting his doses aside. I put mine in a box for daily doses to keep better tract of it in case I also need some during the day, like Lasix. Right now I am waiting for my B/P to come down from 196/64 after taking another Catapress. I also wear the patch and take other B/P drugs. Thanks to everyone who has answered my plea for information. I'm sure if we could collectively compress a few of those brains into one selected person, we would come out with a doctor in the mix. LOL How does Dr. or Dr. Doyle sound to you all? All joking aside, I find this group to be invaluable, they freely give out information when asked and they hold your hand, too. Now even Jimmy is becoming a beneficiary. LOL Carpe Diem and may it be a good one for you all, Lottie Duthu
Guest guest
Thanks for posting---I am self-prescribing LDN so I don't have any doctors' support with this. It's good that yours doesn't suspect LDN. Do you also have to take coumadin to prevent stroke? Calli > > I've had atrial fibrollation for about 2 or 3 years now. I control it with > Verapamil daily. Guest guest
My husband has atrial fibrillation, for 50 years and is not on LDN. Stubborn. Not that LDN would help afib but it would help his immune system. He gets afib attacks about once every 4-5 months where he feels very weak and faint. Aside from his medications, his solution is to go to bed and it usually passes within a day. Anyone with this condition needs to be seen regularly by a good cardiologist and maybe even an electro-physiologist.
