I think we forgot our own here on , we have two and more that do a lot for

our cause.

They are not hockey stars, nor movie stars, they are just plain folks.  Zavie

comes

to mind, he attends most major CML gatherings, we have Lottie who trys to keep

us informed.

and that is just two.  In my case Zavie helped me get started in this group, he

taked to Dr.

about me and gave me advice.  Lottie what can I say about Lottie, her caring and

love for

the group shines from the inside out.  I am sure you can add to the list.

You who live with CML are a light to all, old cml'er and newbies.  Hero's I am

not sure

about but saints yess indeed you all are.

Hi Skip,

Thank you for your kind words.

What I do for fellow CMLers is nothing more than payback for what they did

for me in my darkest hours.

Very to the point Skip. We don't have to be famous, rich or powerful to make a

difference in peoples lives. We just have to choose to do so. My father used to

tell me and my siblings that the only impact any of us can have is in our own

" little pond " . Each kind act creates ripples in the pond and we cannot imagine

how far they will go. We all experience that in these lists and the support they

give us.

I think, though, that it is difficult to see people who have the means to create

an impact in a much bigger " pond " make the choice to do nothing. The G

Komen foundation was created by 's sister, and through her efforts and the

celebrities that joined the cause, it has snow balled into the biggest cancer

money maker in the world. Imagine the difference that could be made in the (much

smaller) CML world if we had just one celebrity put in a little energy.

I raised close to $3000 for Light the Night, just by emailing my friends. What

kind of email or facebook list does O'neil or Kareem Abdul Jabbar have?

Imagine how much they could do if they cared to, or if they were willing to make

a fund raising commercial for free....
