Guest guest
im very suspicious that I have spondy but because I don't have a positive hla-b27 marker than they ignore the possibility. However, that marker is not as common in non-cacasians but do doctors thin of that, no? My primary reason for being suspicious of this is because as far back as I can rememeber, my back has been a problem for me and even now. it's the primary problem and it causes me the most pain all of the time. I get so much pain in my tailbone area that if I sit too long in the 'wrong' position' my legs will start to tremble. My hips are still hypermobile as are other joints and so whenever im in PT, they are always amazed especialy because im so overweight yet im flexible. Ive lost a lot of flexibility but I believe that is the disease process but no one catches on because they think oh you have normal range as I see a lot of people mentioning. I'm also suspicous about spondy because of my suspected lung issues that arent common with JRA as well as now having tendon iflammation and the fact that my inflammation markers have been chronically high no matter what's done for me JRA wise. I have some other joints that cause me issues but my back and neck are by far the worse and most persistent of issues and since this last set back, has now gotten worse since I have the sciatica issues on top of it all. Anyways, just FYI... Issadora On Mon, Feb 25, 2008 at 5:32 PM, Salvucci <lsalvucci42@...> wrote: > I appear to have normal range of motion now, ten years ago I was > hypermobile. Guest guest
Hi : Thanks for the information. I checked on our insurance on-line last night. We have an online feature where you can search for doctors by specialty and within a certain mile range and they will give you list of in-network providers. Anyway I was really excited to learn that genetics testing is covered. I found 2 docotrs in the Milwaukee area (both at Children's so I ruled them out right away). The other three are in the Chicago/Rockford area so I am going to check them out tomorrow. That is only an hour drive for us and my husband agreed we have to do whatever we need to. Hannah is in a major flare once again with and her performances just about 10 days away I just pray everyday she won't sprain something... I'll keep you posted. Beth & Hannah, 11, unspecified arthritis; asthma; gerd; migraines Sending prayers & happy thoughts, Beth :-) Re: Photos of Nicks facial > > > scarring > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > have you looked into ehlers-danlos at all? Guest guest
Sandy - thank you for your prayers. As far as I know, he is still in ICU and is talking with the "cancer" doctor today. However, we already know it has spread to ALL of his major organs. I never like to give up hope but it is not looking to good. Since the passing of his son 2 yrs ago, I wonder if he has the will to live. I think he is not mentally able to fight it let alone physically. My prayers are that whatever happens, he does not suffer and the his loved ones left here on earth can finf some sort of peace if he passes. I think that is where the prayers need to be the most.....his wife and twin are who I am most concerned about...... Thanks again for all the prayers... Love, BEth Beth Beth our prayers are with you How is your Uncle doing today ? Bless you and your family Sandy~ I know this is not implant related but I wanted to ask for special prayers for my uncle. He is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet and he just got devastating news last week. He was told he had lung caner last week and as he was eating his dinner tonight, he passed out. My aunt called the squad and they worked on him and got him back. They rushed him to the ER and he has fluid on his lungs. They did drain the fluid but are not giving him much hope. He is in ICU right now.....To make this much worse, they just lost their son 2 years ago. He passed away suddenly. I am not sure my aunt or uncle ever really recovered from that. I am afraid if something happens to my uncle, my aunt will not be able to move on.....My uncle also has a twin sister that I am very close to. She has many health problems and I am afraid this will also get the best of her.....There wi ll be alot of grief on alot of people if he passes....although, I do not want him to suffer!!!!Much Love,Beth Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Well congratulations to you, too!!! Are our babies due the same month (November)?? Re: good news Congratulations, ! Grandchildren are the best. :-) We went to NJ this past weekend to visit my dd, sil, and grandson. When we got to their place the 2nd day, on their was a pg test and a sign that said, " Welcome baby! " It really took me a couple of minutes to comprehend what was going on, LOL. Of course, the weekend we go down, they have the biggest snowstorm of the season. I think we made it happen. Guest guest
- thansk so much. Some days are better than other. I am just grateful I an get up and do it in the morning. I thank God everyday for giving me the strenght to run my household. That is why sometimes I wonder if I have adrenal burnout or if I am just run down from my everyday life. How did your dentist appointment go? Wasn't that today???? I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there...you will get better, it jsut takes time. I do feel blessed to have my ND but my hubby is getting upset at how much money I have spent on both surgeries within 8 months of each other and then all the ND appointments and test. I am starting to back off a little and just try my own things. It is tough paying for us to live in 2 seperate places and all the added expenses of the illness. I also feel alot better so I am going to slow down on how much I am doing...... Let me know how everything goes with your dentist..... Love, Beth Beth Beth sweetie Bless your heart if I had to take care of a little one and do the things you do I..simply could not do it at this time. I have trouble cooking for myself. Guest guest
Beth, Everything went absolutely well at the dentist and praise God the dentist say about 90% should be covered by the insurance company because of the cracks in my tooth. I know that I was blessed there. I am experimenting a little pain and still having trouble sleeping at nights I get about 2 hours a night. I am taking melantonin 1mg at night that Carlin PH told me to do but not working at this point so I figure as soon as I get thyroid meds this will change. You sound great.....I know what you mean about spending so much money and my husband is frustrated with it as well. But I had to get the mercury out of my mouth to chelated the mercury so I can have some kind of life. I hate feeling drunk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wished I knew what kind of vitamins I needed for my body or someone would do some testings on this. I am still in search for good vitamins. Love In a message dated 3/10/2008 5:26:38 P.M. Guest guest
, Today I received these vitamins from Dr. Mercola. I had ordered my regular vitamins he recommended but they no longer carry them and was given these instead. I like the fact they don't contain silicon dioxide and are gluten and yeast free among other things. I take 4 at breakfast and 4 at dinner. Can't say how great they are as I've only used them one day. You can get them here. http://products.mercola.com/multivitamin-vital-minerals/ Love, PH > > Beth, > Everything went absolutely well at the dentist and praise God the dentist > say about 90% should be covered by the insurance company because of > the cracks in my tooth. Guest guest
Hi , You're right...thanks for pointing that out. Yes, Dr. Kolb says to avoid spirulina because it can cause increased cytokines and brain fog. Since I stopped juicing so many greens, my brain fog diminished greatly and the DMSA helped even more. I'm going to try these vitamins out for a couple weeks to see how I do. I'll let you know if the brain fog comes back. Guest guest
HI girls, I just ordered the ones that PH is taking from Mercola's site. I think the Spirulina will be okay in small amounts. It is when I get the greens in large amounts, like in juice, that brain fog gets bad. Hopefully in a small amount it won't cause problems. , I think I checked out the Dr. Drucker minerals, the liquid stuff and found that I could not order them without a health care professional. Were those the ones you were talking about? Patty > > Ph, > I checked out the ingredients and his vitamins contain spirulina I > thought we couldn't have that since we have brain fog. > Can We ???? > > p.s. Guest guest
PH, I forgot to tell you that I ordered Mercola vitamins too so I have some kind of vitamin to take and also I got me some DHEA 25mg and Pregnonolone 15mg in creme and used this and Wow what a difference in the fatigue which is very minimal today after taking it within 1 hour. Thanks for all the info. I have not gotten this far in 3 years noticing a difference is what makes a difference. I have been asking questions for a long time and havent really got a response to help me like yours.....I just keep trying everything ..... I dont have natural doctors around here to go to so I have to get through this myself because I already know that the meds dont help me they just prolong my sickness and I am not going there again. I just wanted how much you have helped me and how much farther there I am because of you. Thank you so much !! Love In a message dated 3/11/2008 5:30:04 P.M. As far as the cost of the pills, you'll divide them into such small doses that a bottle lasts forever. No, I would not use the metal supporter with ALA being that if you use such high doses of ALA in the beginning, you can have major setbacks. If I were you, I'd get Cutler's book or get on his forum. Chelating is nothing to take lightly in the sense that there can be terrible side effects if you don't do it properly. And basically what I've told you is only a fraction of what the protocol involves...it's too complex to explain and a lot of the supplements that Cutler recommends are based on your personal symptoms. Definitely, I've given you the basics, but you really should have a doc or a book to guide you.The prescription was part of what Mercola recommended for me. I really think you'll be fine with Captomer though. Patty used it and so have others on the chelation forum. I hear you on the supplements...I've wasted tons of money! Much of what I was taking before, Cutler discourages...it's trial by error. Hang in there. Guest guest
Hi Beth, I am so glad to hear that Hannah's sleep has improved dramatically - as soon as our tax appt is over tomorrow (I should not be on-line now, but need a break), I should go place an order for the pillow top...I need a few other things also. Do you think Hannah's flare last week was in part due to her hectic schedule of her shows? I hope she is feeling much better this week. The previous occipital nerve block was pretty helpful, but the one last week has not been as successful, but we believe it is b/c she has started another menstrual cycle again....the hormone fluctuations always mess up the works...so, she will probably have another block sooner. Still cautiously optimistic that this is the answer for her migraines. Thank you for asking...you are so sweet to think of her. How is Hannah doing with her migraines? I read that the Celebrex is helping your arthritis? I tried it but my stomach did not tolerate it at all - I am pleased to hear it is giving you some good relief - yay! Beth Yohnk <yohnkmom@...> wrote: Hi : Just thought I would give you a quick update the pillow top I bought for Hannah's mattress. Even though she had a severe flare last week into this week. Guest guest
Hi Beth, it is so difficult watching your child push themselves too hard, and I think the age has a lot to do with it...they want to keep up with their peers. Sorry you have been so sick with the virus/flu...it sounds like what we had here last month. I am glad Hannah has not come down with it, and hopefully since it has been this long, she is not going to. Trouble breathing is the absolute worst in my book - I sure hope your asthma clears up quickly! Any signs of Spring yet? Beth Yohnk <yohnkmom@...> wrote: Hi : Her sleep is much improved, which is awesome. The bigger problem is she is not completely owning up to her pain. She is pushing herself like crazy during the day and then be so sore she needs help getting into bed. She has reverted to not wanting people to know (even though all her friends know). I can't stop her from being a kid. She is old enough to know when to rest and I have to let her learn. It's very hard watching her some nights. I'm glad the treatments hold promise for . Those pesky periods, just get in the way! Hannah (knock on wood) has been migraine free for over a month! This is huge for her. She also has been much healthier too. During her show I'll bet 1/2 the cast of 84 kids plus adults were sick and she did not catch it. I came down with the URI/sinus/asthma flare almost 10 days ago, so I'm hoping she's not going to get it. Especially with her asthma. I have never, ever had an asthma flare like I've had this week. If she feels like this during an asthma flare, yikes!! Keep me posted on , keeping you guys in prayer as always. Hugs. Guest guest
Beth, I totally know how you feel. It's all so much information to take in. I am so glad your children haven't had any bad reactions. I sometimes wonder if my nieces eczema and my nephews numerous ear infections had something to do with the shots. My daughter had several ear infections while I was breastfeeding her. My son has had none. I've learned that nutrition is key in keeping up their immune system. I actually had a naturopathic doctor tell me that if I was just going to feed them processed foods, then I should vaccinate!! I was appalled, but at the same time I think she was just trying to get into my head that I needed better food choices. I guess it didn't help that we had just had our lunch at 's. Since then, we shop the perimeter of the store...getting all our necessary produce and staying away from the processed foods in the middle of the store. It took us about a year to change our eating habits, and there is still room for improvement. I understand about you being reluctant to talk to other people about it. It's hard for some people to accept something this controversial. A part of us wants to trust that those medical professionals know what is best...but I stopped buying it after my daughter's issues...where no one could give me an answer but at the same time did not try to convince me that it wasn't the vaccines. If her changes weren't as obvious as night and day, I don't know what I would be believing today. My husband is in the military so we move around. I am sorry you have been seperated from you husband. Have you considered homeschooling if the place you are going to tries to get you to vaccinate? I've considered it...and not just because the vaccine issues. Good luck and stay in touch! Kim Beth Jacomet <tommygirl18_1981@...> wrote: Kim, thank you for the post. I honestly am getting more and more to the point I do not want to vax at all anymore. I am sorry for what your daughter went through. I have a nephew that I worry about alot. I could go on and on about his medical problems.....he has had them pretty much since birth but they seem to be getting worse. I wish I had a way to bring this up to my brother and sister-in-law without offending them...I just want them to research it for themselves........ Either of my kids ever seemed to have a reaction to any previous shots. At least not that I can remember. To date, neither of them have allergies, asthma, never got a fever or was overly fussing after a vax, never developed a change in bowel movements, no ear infetions, or anything. I really have racked my brain and I honestly can not come up with 1 thing that even seems a little odd after getting any of thier shots. Not to say that there was nothing....I just can not recall anything specific. They each have only had 1 ear infetions and my oldest son's infection was actually swimmers ear from his swimming lessons. My youngest son just had his first on at about 15 months and he did not get any shots around this time. His last shots were at 12 months....3 months before this happened and I hoenstly can not believe that his vaccines caused this ear infection......but I can not say for certain. Thank you for your personal email address...I am sure I will be in touch I also know that my situation is a little different as we will be moving overseas. I have read many post that people do not think my hubby's ob can force us to get them but I am not so sure. When the kids go over there, they will be attending international school and from what I understand these schools have their own set of rule and regulations that no matter what the US says is legal, that they can override. Not sure how true this is but I can not seem to find the info I need. If my hubby's job says we have to and I can not find any loopholes out of it.....well then we are going to have to make this decision. We have already been living apart for 16 months and I do not look forward to another 5 yrs of it.......although, I am not willing to risk my childs health for it.... Much Love, Beth RE: unvaccinated child entering daycare/ immune system I am about to go through the same thing...but my son will be 22 months by the time he will be in daycare. I am going back to school in the fall and he is unvaxed. I am still breastfeeding him and it amazes me how healthy he is. He is now almost 17 months and he's never really been sick..besides a cold here and there. My daughter comes home from preschool with all kinds of germs and he catches something and is over it rather quickly. He's had fevers maybe 5 times...the highest being 103...and I have never given him anything for it. It goes away the next day, usually. My confidence has increased since he's been born. I used to be real nervous and anxious about not vaxxing him, but as he gets older and the more I read on vaccines, the more confident I am that I am doing the right thing.. After seeing what my daughter went through with her vaccinations. ...there is no way I could do that to him. I just wish I could go back and undo what I did to my daughter. Liz gagnon wrote: I agree with you Venita, - Isabelle isn't vaxed and still is breastfed... but in the 4 weeks she has been in daycare we got hit with a BAD GI bug that sent us to the hospital with her and we had to put her on an IV and then we all have terrible colds that daddy and I just got dx with bronchitis! yuck now I believe that not vaxxing and breastfeeding most definitley keeps the immune system stronger, I just am starting to beleive that it is long term, not necessarily immediate. I am starting to form the opinion that as my daughter gets older her immune system will be even stronger getting all these little bugs in combination with breastfeeding a toddler and not vaxxing.. what are your thoughts? Liz Venita Garner wrote: I did not vax my 16 month old and she has been in daycare for a month. just be ready for colds, stomach virus, etc... this part has not been fun! Liz vg: not vaxxing will not change the getting colds and any little thing that comes along. The thing that not vaxxing will do is help the immune system stay strong to combat the colds and all little things that come along.. I would not vax my child, even if going into daycare. However, I’m at a point now in my learning where I’ve gained that conviction. There is no situation that I can foresee where I will regret that. You need to make the decision for you b/c if you do it for us and something happens.. nope. Not a good situation. Just like you shouldn’t vax b/c of what a pro-vaxxer says and pressures you into, you shouldn’t not vax b/c of pressure not to. You need to make the decision. You need to do the research and see what pros and cons you can come up with and what you can live with. The “vaccine preventable” diseases they insist their marvelous vaccines have cured, are not something I’m afraid of. When you don’t fear the disease, you will be a hard sell for the vaccine. Sure lots and lots of kids have been vaxxed and they “look fine”. But in the back of my mind I worry and pray that they stay that way now that I know what I OK’d to be injected into their bodies. My 6.5 y.o. is completely unvaxed. He’s very healthy. The worst I’ve had to deal with are colds. I think he had the flu when he was 2 months and so did papa.. both sick at the same time.. not fun but they got through it. Guest guest
Beth:When I took him to Immediate Care he told me he had it on last week. I was horrified...afraid they'd find out and think he was crazy or planning something... So here we are in the exam room, and as soon as the nurse left I told him to hurry and take it off so I could hide it under his coat on my lap. I had just barely gotten it hidden and in walks the doctor...funny now, but I was panicking at the time! Can you imagine??Yes, he is soooo into his major...haven't ever seen him this excited about school. Of course, every semester he gets a criminal justice teacher who was in a different branch, so in the fall he wanted to be a US Marshall, then this semester SWAT, and then a few weeks ago he talked to a Secret Service recruiter. He also has aviator sunglasses now and wants to go back to the army surplus store and get a riot helmet! He is just a mess... I read Hannah's update. I hope that the Symbicort works better for her. Also that her GERD gets better controlled. In the morning, I have to take prilosec and then take my prednisone about 1/2 hour later or I get really bad GERD. Hope she feels much better soon... and Rob 18 JAS cool website!> @group s.com> > > Hi everyone: Wanted to share something I came across > while > > Hannah & I were waiting to see her allergy/immunology > > doctor. Guest guest
Good for him and that is a great story..LOL. My friends son just finished his basic training last year...then got a pending deployment letter. Not for sure, but scary non-the-less. She started the Symbicort yesterday, time will tell, but our ped was happy about the switch (I usually don't do anything without his blessing). I let you know next week what happens with the GERD. Aciphex is in a higher tier, but if it helps her, so be it. Have a great weekend!
