Guest guest
If any of you have wondered what Skip has done all these years since he was diagnosed with CML, there is an article about him in the Leukemia and Lymphoma of Canada's newsletter the " Source " , this will give you a bird's eye view, as it is not all of his accomplishments, but he doesn't like to draw attention to himself. He has stayed active in several organizations as you can see from the Newsletter and I'm sure you will get to know Skip a little better. He recently told us about dropping one log, which is fantastic, considering his past record all of these 33 plus years. His problems are Thrombocytopenia: when platelet levels are lower than normal, Neutropenia: when white blood cell levels are lower than normal , leukopenia, (also known as leukocytopenia). Anyone who can manage all of that is superman to me. Go to the website and give him a salute for his service time, he earned it. I hope I am not embarrassing him, but we have someone in our midst who stands out in the crowd and he has chosen the group to become a member of. (He also does geneology>) Carpe Diem and Salut, Skip, Lottie Duthu http://cmlsource.ca/en/personalities/10-stewart-duffie
