anyone's child using Kiddie Calm WITH Prozac?

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone's child is using Kiddie Calm or Purecalm along

with Prozac? I have an appointment with my dd's psychiatrist on

Tuesday......he is not educated in herbal and/or homeopathic treatments. I know

prozac

can not be used along with tryptophan, but not sure what else it is NOT safe

with. Thanks for any info. Kath

My daughter was on Purecalm before starting Prozac. We definitely

stopped the Purecalm before starting Prozac because it is my

understanding that using St. 's Wort along with an SSRI can

cause " serotonin syndrome " which you do not want.

Yikes! Please accept my apologies, Kath! We've used both the

Purecalm and the Mindsoothe, Jr. and I got them mixed up. The

Mindsoothe, Jr. is the one with St. 's wort and as I understand

it, shouldn't be used along with an SSRI. Perhaps the Purecalm is

okay, but check on it as the other responder mentioned.
