Hi Lottie,

Have a great trip to MD.

I attended an MD symposium this morning 'Making Cancer History' here

in PB, FL. It was excellent. I was able to meet with the 3 speakers - Dr.

Mendelson, President of MDACC - Dr. Tom Buchholz - Chair of the Dept of

Rdiology Oncology and Dr. Ana -Angulo, Prof. Breast Medical

Oncology.

The talk was first rate and there was ample time for Q & As.

Subject: [ ] Back Soon

Putting my out to lunch sign. Be back Wednesday, unless the weather sets us

back. It's supposed to be another cold one this week and if they start

closing roads down, I don't want to be left in the cold, so I will stay put

in Houston until the weather looks favorable. Remember we are not used to

having our roads closed down in winter. Don't leave the house unless you

have to, this weather has been a real bitch this winter. G'day to our Aussie

friends, they are having the worst weather with flooding and people fleeing

for their lives. Please watch for the ads asking for help. down under

has a website you can scan if you want to make a donation. would you

put it up for the group? I can't do anything until I get back from Houston.

It's always a real rush when I am packing to leave. Meds, records, clothing

for 4 seasons. LOL Hopefully they will resume the Ariad, but on a lower

dose. I can't take mega doses of anything without having a reaction. Small

portions for me, thanks.

Sending my best to Sue up in NJ who just returned from the hospital with a

blood clot. Take care Sue, we are praying for you. To Zavie who sneaked down

to FL when no one was looking and partying all over FL with a coat on while

his wife, Ida is running around in shorts and shirt sleeves. LOL

Take care of our man, Ida, he's a little pale around the edges. If he

misbehaves, take his camera from him and see how he functions without it.

LOL Will let you know how things go in Houston. It will be an all day affair

with my first appt. at 6:45 and last at 4:00, but they can stretch that a

bit when it comes to getting a BMA. Before we left I was there from 7:00

a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Jimmy was so sick and blacking out, I sent him to the apartment to rest up.

The guy in next stall had his TV on so loud, I turned mine up and they told

me to turn mine down, so all I could do was listen to his next door. LOL.

Such is life, but it is never fair. If it was, we wouldn't have CML or

having this conversation.

Carpe Diem,

Lottie Duthu

Dear Lottie,

I know you won't get this until you get back from MDACC, but I PRAY you have

good appts. I was just there all of last week, so again, we just miss each

other. But truefully, I never feel much up to visiting after the busy days at

the clinic. And you know first hand how draining that can be. Tell Jimmie hi for

me. I sure hope he is feeling better. My next trip isn't for 6 weeks -

yeahhhhhh. It's like a vacation. You will get there too. The Ariad trial is very

demanding with the monthly appts, but we do what needs to be done so that we get

well.  Have a safe trip.

God Bless,

Jackie S.

Lottie- Have a real safe and successful trip. I hope that all works out for

you.

I pray for , too. She complained of a pain in her leg for quite some

time. At least the hospital found the cause of the pain.

Does anyone know whether the hospital can disolve a clot in the leg?
