, I saw Dr. Talpaz until he left to go to Ann Arbor in MI. He was a very

nice doctor, who didn't rush off the minute you got into the room. He loved to

talk about food. We saw him at the last New Orleans ASH convention and he still

remembered us. The one he recognized first was my husband, he has white hair

with a GI cut. He can run, but he can't hide with that express haircut. LOL I

remember him saying how much " fun " it was working with CML patients and how he

was sure they would soon find a cure for CML and I'm sure he knows it backwards

and forwards. You are lucky to have someone like him to look after you.

Lottie,

You are absolutely right about Dr. Talpaz.  He knows CML and takes the time for

me each visit.  He always knows just what to say to make me feel hopeful and

reassure me that I will be well again.  This week I met with Dr. Bixby (Talpaz

was out of town)- he also knows his stuff and the Ariad drug.  I feel taken

care

of.  I hope you are doing okay.  Back on Ariad?  Thinking of you.
