Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I have the same watery diarrhea, but am happy that my dry, cracked lips are improving! I don't do anything to stop the diarrhea as I feel better after a bout of it. I still only drink according to my thirst (besides the electrolyte drink with meals). As for the raw tushy - the best thing is to mix a couple of drops of Oil of Oregano with say about a 1 Tbsp. coconut oil in a small jar to keep in the bathroom. Rub that in after visit to the bathroom. This works really well for me. *blush* > <snip> > > Also, with the diarrhea, should I take in more water to remain hydrated? Guest guest
Hi Dawn, The diarrhea was fairly constant for the first 3 or 4 months or so, but as I said, I felt better for having it (as bizarre as that sounds!). Now that I've been on the diet 10 months, it comes and goes in bouts, and it still makes me feel better. Good luck! > > So, has your diarrhea been constant? Or is it more on and off? At my house, yeast overgrowth caused three kids to be constipated but one child had diarrhea. So it might be yeast, especially with the tinnitis which was caused by yeast here. Bad bacteria causes diarrhea also. Or it might be other things like zinc deficiency, B12 deficiency, and a few other things. Dana

Don't overdo exercise either, since it mobilizes toxins too. That's why you do dry skin brushing, which is a mild form of exercise. Of course walking is okay, but 30 minutes may be too long at this time. No one should jog since it jars your body too much and makes it very stressed. +++Diarrhea isn't dangerous. Guest guest
Thanks Bee. I feel better knowing it isn't dangerous. I haven't had a problem with diarrhea in the past, like your brother. Thanks for relating that story. Except for once when I had been ill with a sinus infection and on strong antibiotics and I was sure that it caused C. Difficile to take over. I have never been so sick with diarrhea...it lasted one week and unfortunately, I took flagyl to stop it. I have been jogging for 15 years and it is one of my greatest joys. It's my break from the kids, and you could call it my meditation. I love to go outside and jog in my neighborhood, especially in the spring weather. I would hate to have to stop it for this diet but I have found it to be too difficult to do lately. If I feel up to it, can't I just jog? I don't really go for that long, about 20-30 minutes. Sometimes I alternate with walking. I am taking 325mg of magnesium twice per day. I have the Natural Calm powder magnesium citrate and it's 2 rounded teaspoons 325mg of magnesium. Then, I purchased your NOW calcium citrate powder from iHerb. That one is 700mg of calcium citrate for 1.5 teaspoons. I am taking 1/2 teaspoon twice per day. Those are not exact numbers of 600 each for the day. Bee: Is that still ok? Do I need to do something differently? I take the 4,000 mg of vitamin C per day,(caplets), in divided doses. I take 2,000mg in the morning, 1,000 after lunch, and 1,000 after dinner. Is that also ok? Thanks so much. > > > > Hi Bee and moderators: I have been doing the diet for about 5 weeks or so. Guest guest
Hello there, I'm sure Bee will chime in and might tell you about her brother who had Crohn's for many years... I wanted to also add that since about the start of the year, I think I might have had 2 BMs that were " normal " or " formed. " Everything else was a diarrhea variant. Your body is detoxing! As long as you're not feeling bad, i.e. no cramps or anything, drink the electrolyte drink (and other fluids), take it easy - no jogging, perhaps? - so your body can do its job, and celebrate that fact andra > > Hi Bee and moderators: I have been doing the diet for about 5 weeks or so. I had only 5-6 normal bowel movements all this time. so I guess that 5 weeks is not long . We all have diarrhea during the program caused by toxins coming out. Guest guest
Hi , If you are getting diarrhea, I'd say that the diet *is* working for you. Loose stools is one way for the body to get rid of toxins. For some people, like me, it's the body's preferred method of getting the toxins out of the body. It could also be that you are 'retracing' previous episodes of diarrhea as well. If you go to Bee's website and type in the word " retracing " in the search field, you should find an article that explains what retracing is. (Sorry, her site won't load for me at the moment.) Hang in there! (a group moderator) > > Hi, > > This is my sixth day of the diet and I've gradually adopted the amount of good fats to reflect in fitday as appropriate for my " due body weight. " But, I'm also developing diarrhea after being concerned about possible constipation for the first few days. I'm wondering if I took on too much fat too soon or what might be causing this. I had chronic diarrhea as a result of undiagnosed candida for almost six months before a week's Nystatin stopped the diarrhea three years ago and adopting a candida diet for six months. I don't think that this is related but I don't know what to think. > > Any ideas or suggestions. Usually it takes 1-2 months to get your fat ratios up enough since they cause a lot of detoxifying and healing symptoms and reactions like diarrhea. It isn't because good fats cause diarrhea; it's because they help the body get rid of toxins. I think it is too soon for you to retrace something from 3 years ago. Diarrhea won't harm you so if you are doing okay just continue on the way you are. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hello , Increasing fat intake, particularly if you are new to the program, can also cause loose stools/diarrhea. Also when you get the treatments find out if you should be taking any vitamin C during the treatment. Bee
Guest guest
Hello Sharon, Sometimes diarrhea is just part of our healing/retracing we cannot avoid. If you've cut back on the coconut oil/fats and have not noticed a difference, it's probably not the fats. Diarrhea is a great way for your body to get rid of stuff it doesn't want, so you can celebrate your body doing its job so efficiently! Is cutting back so > drastically on CO the right thing to do? +++Hi Sharon, Like andra advised your body is detoxifying itself, so getting diarrhea is a common symptom when your body becomes able to detoxify as it should. Lowering the fats may not change anything, and they are what help your body detoxify more than anything else, so you do not want to stop or interfere with those processes. Diarrhea won't hurt you when you are consuming enough fluids. My brother had it for over 20 years (Crohn's Disease) before starting on my program and he had to experience it another 20 months when it finally stopped. 20 months because it takes 1 month of natural healing for every year. Also IF you have ever had diarrhea in the past your body will be " retracing " every episode while it is healing itself: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php In fact all dis-ease processes are exactly the same as healing/ detoxifying processes, with the only difference being that a person on this healthy program is progressing towards health rather than becoming more and more unhealthy, or dis-eased. The medical field labels each and every " sign " of poor health as separate dis-eases, illnesses, symptoms, etc. instead of calling them what they actually are, i.e. " signs " the body is working hard at maintaining its health in spite of poor nutrition, toxins, etc., which means it is trying to heal and detoxify itself. Guest guest
Today is the third day of extreme diarrhea and I am feeling very weak and my intestines are sore. I made it till 6:00 p.m. today so was getting hopeful it was over. I had added 1 1/2 teaspoons of coconut oil to my dinner egg drink at 5:00 p.m. Should I not have any for a few days? Bee, you say I should not cut it back. I guess I'm pretty worried at having this so long. I keep reading your article on diarrhea, and I'm trying to drink continually. I guess I'm worried about ending up in a hospital with IVs. In the past I rarely had diarrhea; rather, the opposite was more of a problem. How is constipation retraced? I can't imaging that this coconut oil would allow for it to actually be retraced. Hoping for better tomorrow...
