" if it comes back negative, i don't necessarily think it means you don't

have lyme anymore.

[snip]

i know that most everyone says that the Western Blot at IGenex is the

best test for Lyme. have you had that done yet? "

Yes, I had the Western Blot and came up equiv/neg for IgG and

equiv/positive for IgM. I had a Negative LUAT (urine challenge).

I was on 5 months of oral abx and now we're seeing if I've still got Bb

DNA. I had the PCR blood draw about 2 weeks ago, so I should know soon

about the results. I think I've had lyme for almost 30 years, but had

only mild/manageable symptoms until January 2004.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I'll let you know how it comes out.

Ciro, I know you realize what a lucky guy you are and there some of us

wishing it was us. LOL Just kidding. May you go on the upward trend and I

don't care if you put me to shame if you are that lucky. Also lucky to be able

to get the drugs that are the right fit for you. There are still people out

there

who cannot get Gleevec or whatever way you spell it where you live. Best of

luck to you and continue to post your results and your research. We all benefit

from both, especially the one in knowing that you are one big success story.

Hope spreads as fast as gossip, so keep it coming our way.

Best wishes,

Lottie Duthu
