Guest guest
On another board I follow there was a lot of discussion and high recommendations about a book by Amye somebody. I don't remember the last name nor have I read the book but I think it tells of her struggles with RA when no new medicines were available and the great difference the new medicines make. I think she travels the world as a motivational speaker. It finally dawned on me to do a search on Amye and then arthritis and I came up with Amye Leong. " Get a Grip! : A Take-Charge Approach to Living With Arthritis. " I hope it doesn't disappoint. God bless. Hi and All, > From: Dexter <mekare123@...> > Has anyone ever stumbled upon a positive book > about RA, with workable ideas on living with this? > I'd love to hear of any good books you know of. One book that has helped me so much over these last 23 years deal with my RA is a book now entitled " Chronic Illness And The 12 Steps " . I have no affiliation with the author, I just know that a lot of what she has written has helped me deal with everything. Here is Amazon's URL for the used copies of this book (under it's original title): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/offer-listing/0894865625//104-9751328-4352709?condition=all and here is the URL for the book now new: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1568383479/qid=1085788696/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-9751328-4352709?v=glance & s=books Hope this helps . I've lived with my RA now going on 23 years and I'm 45. It hasn't always been easy but this book has helped me a lot.
