Guest guest
Dear Sue in AU, I am saddened to read everything that is going on in AU. It is too bad that we are not getting much information on our news. That is why I am asking you and . I spoke a few words to Judy Telford, who is now visiting her son in Canada. Zavie patched us in for a moment on his speaker phone, but it was not a favorable connection. I will try to get my Skype in shape and we can talk later. It was so good to hear her voice again. It's been a while. I know when we are online, you all are asleep. Her voice sounds strong and she sounds great. It is really remarkable that everyone has banded together to help each other get out of " Dodge " until the situation improved. I can't imagine what it must be like for the poor people who have lost just about everything. I'm glad everyone in the group is safe and hope it stays that way. I don't know how you can stand the smoke, it would make me ill. I was at my son's for Christmas and the fireplace was on and all the men smoked their Christmas cigars and I had to leave, but no one knew where my purse was with the keys. In all my haste to make a fast exit, I found myself in the midst of a dozen or so men puffing away under the arbor. I just couldn't win for losing. Would you and continue to post any and all organizations who are taking donations for our Aussie friends? We need to be reminded every day of what the citizens are going through. This is a national, natural disaster - drought and fire on the one hand and rain and flooding on the other. What complete opposites. Keep us informed, you remind me that I should not have anything to complain about today unless I was in that situation. Carpe Diem, Lottie
