Guest guest
Happy New Year to each and every one... Lottie your so right about little germ factories, my little grandson (8mts) has a cold this Christmas and with an ANC of less than 500 we thought that we would buy all the Christmas fixins and give them to the family, Kim would go over and help cook,  I would stay home, just too many colds and not enough ANC WBC is around 2.3 which is good for me. Still getting infused with Plts twice week and Hgb once weekly. On the other hand feel good and wish spring was here. When I look at the harbour, it is so grey and cold looking, I just do not feel like going out. This Jan, I will be starting  my 34th year playing with CML.  Here is another of my poems that I wrote after getting out of the hospital so many years ago..It is only a couple hundred yards to the harbour but I just get too cold now. Once again Peace Health and Love for 2011 to all SkipD dx'ed 33 years ago.. Forgiven In A Storm Duffie The lights from the heavens twinkle bright as I sit and stare at the heavens light. What splendor I see as the wind brushes me and the white caps smash to the shore. The wind picks up speed and snow starts to fly, as the last of the seagulls let out their cry. The heavenly view disappears out of sight, A storm from the north will hit us tonight. The wind rushes the snow hard to my face, The night birds run in the wind with grace. The fisherman all rush home to be safe, and I am alone with Him. Softly and gently He calls out to me, as I sit there alone down by the sea. He loves you the wind sings in my ears, Calming and easing all of my fears. My heart settles down to a soft easy pace, no longer my mind running the race. My future is certain I know without fear, I am forgiven. ________________________________ From: Lottie Duthu <lotajam@...> CML < > Sent: Fri, December 31, 2010 10:20:49 PM Subject: [ ] Going back to MDACC  Hi Jackie, I hope you enjoyed your holidays at home - germ free. I went to my son's house and picked up something and paying for it with fever and phlegm on my chest and mucous in my sinuses. There were some children there, and as Skip would say, they are germ factories. He was more on guard than I was. I didn't pick up any of them, but they touch everything around them and that little finger goes right into their little upturned noses. I don't go back until the 10th or 13th. I called, but the holidays have put a dent in everything, so I will have to email someone to set me straight. I called the information desk and they have nothing, but I know it is wrong because they gave me a printout before I left, so I have a general idea. Will have to go back to staying in motels again, much to my chagrin, I liked the apartments and the free bus ride. LOL I know this must have been the best Christmas for you - ever. Take care and hope to see you soon over there. We never did get enough time together to exchange information, although I did keep up with your website. It was evident everyone back home was waiting for news from you and anxious to see you again. Happy New Year. It was such a joy to meet your dad and talk to him. xoxox Lottie & Jimmy
