Guest guest
I for one am quitting this e-group. For one thing, it has taken me years to arrive at this worldview. Resentments, gossip, inaccurate conclusions from my experiences, and like-thinking friends, have all helped me reach a sort of psychic homeostasis with my professional environment. The last thing I need is some D.C./Ph.D. or even a plain old D.C., throwing facts and evidence into the mix of heated discussions better left to passion and talking loud over beers. I'm also put out by people who have a narrower or broader view of religion, professional ethics, finance, decorating, cars, and movie preferences. I am starting my own e-group made up of myself with a server which recycles my old emails as if they came today. The danger of disagreeing with myself is balanced by the fact that no one else will read it. Guest guest
Glad you’re safe & sound, Allan. Merry Christmas! De Happy Holidays! Hiya Folks! I'm up North now until Feb. It was a long trip. Right now I'm at my Father's house and as soon as I got here his wife had a " honey-do " list for me which includes fixing her car. I brought all my tools with me but it's a little chilly working in an unheated garage. And I thought I was going to work on my truck yeah right. As for me healthwise, I'm in the " 300 Club " . My ammonia, ALT & AST are all 300 LOL. Alka Phos went down a tad. New liver doc put me on an " 0 Gram Ammonia diet " . Plus I'm going through a bottle of Lactulose every 4 days. I have an order to have blood drawn next month to see how I'm doing. On a more positive note my sugar is under excellent control. Guess 5 pills and 4 injections a day helps. For now I'm just hanging waiting for the holidays to be over. It's a terrible time of year for me. Oh well. I cured the Xmas shopping issue. I didn't do any! Zip, zero, nada HAHAHA. Without going through 1100 emails I think there are some folks just off Tx or just about off. Dick and Kathy maybe? too maybe? Great work hanging in there! Forgive me if I missed anybody. Plain old dain bramage LOL. Happy Holidays to everyone and a GREAT New Year! Allan with 2 L's can't wait to get to NYC and have a big bad pastrami sandwich at Katz's and a REAL bagel!!! A bright flash and thunderous boom woke me up. It was lightning, but the thunder was more like and explosion than what you normally think of thunder, I thought perhaps something had blown up on the railroad track not far from here. After that it was just rain and more cold rain. We ended up getting around and inch of the stuff. On top of that, it was foggy all day too. Its a nice day today though. Unfortunately it will be spent in a hurried frenzy of cleaning. My least favorite cousin and her kid are coming down tomorrow for a visit. Of course this means my mother is in a tizzy because the house is an absolute disaster. In spite of what she chooses to believe, the vast majority of it is her junk, not mine. Her big bedroom is so full of junk there is barely room to reach the bed from the door and the hall isn't much better. Funny thing is she will harp on me about cleaning up my room, which just has stacks of books around, but never got on her stuff which really is a disaster. She did some cleaning these last couple of weeks, but it was downstairs, and it doesn't look like she made any progress. Well, I have been after her for months to get a handle on the upstairs, but she would never listen. It had to be the downstairs first. That was probably a plot of hers anyway: since I tend to sleep late (which makes sense since I also go to bed late) she can say she wasn't cleaning downstairs because she didn't want to wake me up. Very convenient way not to clean and blame it on me. Still, I don't see why she couldn't be cleaning upstairs. Anyway, I'm trying to think of some activity I can give my mother money for to get the cousins out of the house as soon as possible and for as long as possible. Bear in mind that I don't hate them, I just dislike them. You might recall my relating the story of a cousin who married poorly? Well this is her. I just hope the kid doesn't have to use the bathroom here. The brat is so fat and spoiled that he can't wipe his own behind, his mother has to do it for him and use baby wipes at that because his tuckus is too tender for toilet paper. Did I mention he's 10 years old? The rest of you have a good day. I'm debating hiding out in the basement again.
