Hi Jeff,

Any member can send an attachment to the group. All you have to do is

send an email to Plagiocephaly and add an attachment

like you normally would.

To open them you just click on it. You may get a pop up box that asks

you if you want to open, save or cancel it. Just click on open it.

If you need anymore help, just let us know.

Hi,

If you go to post 53450 and scroll down you will see a box that says:

Attachment

54295797703_0_ALB.jpg

Type: image/jpeg

Size: 25k Download

Click on the word Download, you should get a pop up box that asks you

if you want to open, save or cancel. Click open it.

Let me know if you need any help.

Thank you ever so much, My co-workers would certainly have gotten a

chuckle out of the fact I couldn't do this. I am assuming the key is

finding the original message that has the attachment...is this

right? Any tricks?

Thanks........

lOL!!

Yes, that is the key and not all posts with paper clips have actual

attachments. Some messages post that way when someone with a

background to their email sends the group a message.

You're welcome!

Ann,

Attachments are not allowed to go through Lyme Aid. This is to slow down

the threat of computer virus attacks.

You can " cut and paste " your information into an email message to send it to

the list. Or you can upload the articles to the Files section at

/files/ .

Let me know if you have any questions!

=)

Also, I am attaching a couple of articles that may help you - one is how

I got diagnosed. I read the article which completely described me, found a

Lyme Literate Doc and she say - oh my, they didn't know what you had! I then

started treatment and feel much better than before but I have chronic lyme

and it has made some permanent or at least semi-permanent damage. I am still

working on it.

Fellow Listers,

My reply to the list for Stein explaining doubling time, when it

arrived in my own email just a few minutes ago, went to my junk mail box and

showed three attachments, two of them images. I didn't send any and haven't

opened them. I have no idea where they came from. Did anyone else receive

those attachments with my email? I hope it didn't and won't cause anyone

any problems!

Thank you,

I believe you can safely relax, Karni.

I bravely asked to scan them, and downloaded them when they were reported to be virus-free. I would call them formatting boxes; one just showed as an empty screen.

P.S. I'll get back to you later (with my new computer, ha!) if my system crashes.

Thanks, Wayne! I didn’t know one could do that. I’ve got virus

scanning software that, I think, checks attachments, but it was just so weird

to see it there when I didn’t send it, that I didn’t want to mess with it.

Well, you've done it again, Karni! Ha!

This time image1 is a small rectangle again,

and image2 is blank (perhaps a white background??).

Again I'm wondering if it is formatting from your

email program.

Please remain worry-free!

And take care of yourself!

Hello Sue, I am unable to find any method of opening attachments in

this discussion group. One of the conversations indicated that there

was an attachment and the way to view it was to click on the

attachment button on the left side; however, there was no such button

to click. I have already set up the membership to receive individual

emails, but that doesn't seem to do the trick either.

I was also unable to locate the files on the link given. however, when i looked in the files again about a week later, the files had been loaded and were available.

perhaps there is a delay in loading the files, so that we will only see them a few days later?

Regards

Almut

It is impossible to get the attachments. I tried to edit my

membership, but there is nothing about attachments anywhere.

Click on the paperclip ...by the words attachment...your computer may not allow pop-up...if so, then look towards the top of the screen...there should be a yellowish/mustard looking line...click on that...it will ask you "allow, allow one time, etc." click allow....then go back to email and click on paperclip again. If your computer allows attachments..then all you will have to do is click on the paperclip.

What do I need to do to be able to see attachments? Whenever there are attachments I can't see them in my other too.

Randy, thank you for what you do. is a bit lame in that we can get attachments

either via email or have them archived in the list, but not both. Unless someone complains, your choice is

probably best.

Has anyone tried the attachment feature since the setting

was changed last night?

I haven't heard anything, I am hoping it is working properly. If not, we can

try the other setting, it seems to be an " either or " setting option.

If something more needs to be done please let me know.

I think this protects us from getting losts unwanted stuff but does make it a bit more difficult to learn the rules.CE Grim MD On Apr 20, 2009, at 2:35 PM, Valarie wrote:Randy, thank you for what you do.   is a bit lame in that we can get attachments either via email or have them archived in the list, but not both. Unless someone complains, your choice is probably best. Val From: hyperaldosteronism [mailto:hyperaldosteronism ] On Behalf Of rsheltondavisHas anyone tried the attachment feature since the setting was changed last night?I haven't heard anything, I am hoping it is working properly.
