Guest guest
Tattoo inks often have mercury in them as a preservative and many of the pigments are toxic as well. That being said body art a traditional practice when done with all natural ingredients. I don't know much else about the industry and whether there are " natural " artists or " organic " inks, but both sound plausible. - --- In , " doublethink03 " <doublethink03@...> wrote: > > What's the WAP stance on tattoos? Guest guest
That's awesome.... LMAO over here... funny thing is, my kid has a handful of tatoo's and he had one that he actually hid from me for a long time... his buddy busted him out on it. He had his last name tatoo'd across his back. I told him he should have had it on his belly and upside down so in case he forgot who he was he could look down and find out! Crazy kid. Guest guest
I have a sort of grandson that does all of that!!! It was hoot for awhile there, seeing his hair matching the colour of his sneakers and boy did he ever have a huge collection of colourful sneakers. Now I'm hearing that he is having difficulty with his chosen fashion experience. Things like, earlobes that have split because of the size of hole, tats that he's embarrassed about now. He's just turned 29 and I don't think even wants to keep up with the old style.GloriaMine did! Guest guest
Mine only did the hair thing that one time... then he got a speeding ticket and in an accident in 4 days time and had to look like he walked out of a fashion magazine for court. He learned his lesson on the hair color thing, it's never been messed with again. No piercings other than a few on one ear that have probably closed up by now. But his tat's he's fine with and they are all in place that regular street clothes will cover. All pretty innocent as well. He has a latin saying on his calf, something about having to depend on yourself and being right with yourself before you can be right with anyone else. It translates odd but to him it has a meaning. But the whole monkey tattoo... I'd be afraid to show him that one cause he'd think it was funny and want to do it.Teri From: Gloria <gadamscan@...> Sent: Sun, April 25, 2010 2:34:34 PMSubject: Re: [ ] Tattoos I have a sort of grandson that does all of that!!! Guest guest
> > Hello everyone, > > I was supposed to get a tattoo with my mom and sisters but I'm not sure if this would be ok. I have heard of black ink made of natural pigments without the chemicals and was going to try and find someone who used this. I wouldn't get anything with colors and chemicals. Even so though, my body is slow to heal and not sure if my body would have to stop other healing to heal the tattoo. > > what do you all think? > thank you, > > @@ Hi , I would say, forget the tattoo and spend the money on a nice outfit instead. At least you can take it off, when you become bored with it. Tattoos are toxic and add to the burden of your immune system, which you don't want to do. I think the Candida you are dealing with is burden enough. About half the people that get tattoos end up regretting it , down the road. It is quite difficult to remove I hear along with it leaving a scar when removed. They don't think their so cool, then, let me tell ya ! Unless you are joining the Yakuza / Japanese Mafia ... forgo the tattoo ;]] Be Well, Ed group moderator
Guest guest
Hi Ed, Thanks for the advice. I would only have got it with natural ink but if it would still burden my body then I won't get it. I wouldn't regret it as I've thought about it for years and it would have a very special meaning to me. thanks again > > > > @@ Hi , > > I would say, forget the tattoo and spend the money on a nice outfit instead. Guest guest
Hi , Anyone thinking about a tattoo should realize that they are putting toxic chemicals into their body. I saw a program on 20/20 or Dateline? One of those news shows about the Japanese Mafia, the Yakuza that Ed mentioned. One of their identifying marks is their total body tattoos. Unfortunately the toxins from their tattoos is causing them liver failure so they are coming to the US to get Liver transplants. Because they pay CASH they are bumping Americans off the transplant waiting list. They have lots of CASH because of their illegal activity. Hosptials are allowing this because Money Talks. Just goes to show you....you can't mistreat your body without consequences. I also read somewhere that the most widely received cosmetic procedure is tattoo removal. Just thought I'd try to save you some grief and money... ;-) Gail.....(curlygirl) > > Hi Ed, > > Thanks for the advice. Guest guest
The question was about getting a tattoo or not. I guess if you want anything bad enough, you should be willing to take a chance. Somsa do and somsa don't. It depends on the person. I often wondered about getting my lips colored, but you know how they change colors so often and I didn't think it was worth my effort. Some are really very artsy and pretty. I know that felons who were incarcerated for a long time used to do tattoos on themselves, as a sign to leave them alone - real macho stuff. One of the popular images of the inmates were spider webs on their elbows. Couldn't figure out out they did that. Some are very creative and I always thought if they could use their creative talent on other things, they would do well. When I was a judge's secretary, inmates used to write letters. The judge didn't have time to answer, but I did and you would be surprised to know what inmates write to judges. Some were artistically inclined and sent some lovely drawings. Inadvertenly, I would send some a book on drawing and didn't know that you could not send anything to an inmate. I don't know what they did with them, but I spent my own money to do that. Some would come to visit when they got out of prison, thinking of all the letters from the " judge " . LOL The judge by the way, knew what I was doing and encouraged it. One woman came to visit when she got home and wanted to make those silly pillows with all the ball fringe they used to put in their back windshields. I used to tease the judge about him driving around with them in his back windshield, but he, of course, didn't dare, his wife would have killed him. LOL I wanted to dump my old magazines at the local prison, but Jimmy's nephew was the warden and would not allow it because the prisoners would remove the staples and use them for needles to make tattoos. Some tales I have to tell my grandchildren. LOL Carpe Diem, Lottie Duthu

Guest guest
I always joked that I would get a tattoo of my surgeon's face on my hip - before surgery that is. It would give him a really high level of motivation to do a neat scar, unless he wanted himself to look like enstein's Monster. Only problem was that my surgeon just wasn't that great-looking to start with.... Freja
