Guest guest
Hi Group, Thought this might give you all a lift. Today, when I got to church, as I was walking in with my 3 year old daughter, I looked down only to notice that my shoes were different colors. In my haste, I had grabbed the wrong right shoe (like that twist?). One was black and the other blue. I went back out to the car to tell my husband, who was busy preparing what he was going to say as it was his turn to do the opening announcements. Needless to say, he had a good laugh at this one. No chance that I could go home and get the right right shoe as we live 45 minutes from church. Sunday school doesn't last that long. Anyway, I composed myself and went in anyway. Oh, did I say that today I was supposed to read the Responsive Reading. GREAT! Walk up in front of everyone with mismatched shoes. Well, to top it all off (and to make my mistake seem not quite soooo bad), my husband, while giving the announcements mistakenly welcomed our guest pastor as " Pastor Zucchini " when her name was " Ziccardi " . That eased my burden and made it a little less easy for my husband to razz me about the shoes. I guess he had lethologica problems. Guest guest
Hey, don't feel bad. I just finished reading Barbara Bush's autobiography (it was great, she's really funny and up-beat) and she mentioned that one year gave her dozens of tennis shoes in different colors as a present (she'd mentioned something about having trouble finding plain old tennis shoes). She decided to have some fun with this and thereafter wore mismatched sneakers. So you're just following in the footsteps (literally) of a fun former first lady. a rheumatic Re: forgetfulness From: " D. King " <dking@...> Hi Group, Thought this might give you all a lift. Guest guest
--- Hi Meg, Wow!! You describe symptoms I've had before. It was a while ago, but I never associated it with RA. I don't have Fibro, but am in the process of finding out what kind of auto-immune disease I actually have. Questions have been raised as to whether it's RA or something else. Anyway, I have had memory issues too. Once I was out running errands, and I thought I was loosing my mind because I couldn't remember where I live. It took me several minutes to get my head together and figure out how to get home. It was the strangest thing. I have had other times where I was fixing dinner, a dish I have made for 30 years, and I couldn't remember what ingredients to put in it. I have also had issues where my children will tell me that they have told me something and when it is brought up again, it seems like an entirely new discussion. they get rather anoyed at me because I have forgotten so much. I just figured it was me and that i was starting to get old and heaven forbid, get alzeheimers. I'm not even 50 yet. Will be in 4 months, but i think it's too early to have those memory issues. I haven't had a severe case of memory loss like what I just described in a year or so, but when it did happen, I thought that I was losing my mind. I wonder if it is due to flares. I'm a recent RA patient, so I never knew that there could be an association because I had no idea I had RA. Hope things improve for you. take care and I wish you the very best.
