Guest guest
Isn't it amazing how much information changes from Dr. to Dr.? We were listening to PBR about 1 month ago when the program was about organ transplants and donors. Anyway a caller said she had been told due to having HepC that she could not be an organ donor and the person from the Dr. associated with the transplant program said that was wrong. That she could indeed still donate. And if I'm not mistaken even went on to say that livers from hepc patients could be transplanted into patients with hepc waiting for a liver. The reasoning being that for those that lives depend on getting a liver at that time even one with hepc would give them a longer life. Did anyone else by any chance hear this program? Guest guest
Hello, The link below is to a donation site that has been set up by teachers. This teacher has almost met there goal in helping children with autism. Being a teacher myself, I know how hard it can be to get funds and supplies. So maybe if you can just give $1 that would help. Our take a look at all the other projects teachers are trying to do. Thanks for your time. Guest guest
Dear Caron, I think that is one of the most generous things you can do, is to leave your organs to someone who is in need of one. Unfortunately we fall into a category where it is not possible. I was also a regular blood donor and I miss not being able to give back, so I do research and share it as a replacement. Please keep sharing and tell us a little about yourself, where you live and when you were diagnosed and the drug you are on, what your side effects are, if any, your relationship with your doctor, anything to put a human face on you.
