I got my pc back together again about 2am last night. Now I'll just have to take inventory of what I've lost and re-install the applications I still can. I think I am going to monitor what my son load on the pc a little more carefully. Not that he loads anything objectionable, but I end up with a lot of adware/snoopware and he tends to cram everything into one folder. I have the hardest time reactivation my ethernet connection and that's what I need to get onto the internet. Well, i'm back on now.

I called my second job last night and told them I wanted to resign, when asked why I just told them it was too much for me, with my other job. They offered to cut my hours to 16 a week, so I'm going to try that (if the head honcho approves it) Later..

Dave, 16 hours a week for a second job. Is enough with your full time. I know you wanted to pay down some bills. But running down your health will afect your full time job. Just try to not over do it

I hear you. I didn't see my wife from sunday evening until friday evening. I used to be able to put up with those kind of hours, but I need my r & r. -dz-

10 years ago or so, I worked all of the over time I could get. I would even ask for it in any department that I heard was working. I missed a lot of things with the kids. We could still use the money from O/T. But I don't want to work it. I was thanking about a part time job after I am off of treatment. But I thank we will try get by with the one job.

Dave if I remember right, we are about the same age "49 in Sept". We might be getting older, but we are not OLD. When I was in my 20's. I might have thought 49 was old. But I am smartter now and now I know 49 is not OLD. Now I thank 100 is old.

Thanks for responding Terry....It did seem kind of strange that they were not overly concerned about the high viral load but with all the other indicators of test results including the abdominal ultrasound & liver enzymes being normal they were looking at the whole picture. I am giving more thought to the biopsy and may do so in the near future when my new mental health medication doses settle in. Thanks so much for your input. Talk with you soon,

The abdominal ultrasound and liver enzymes were normal and no other areas were out of balance. My viral load is at 3.9 million but without anything else outta whack they are not overly concerned at this point.

They said that a liver biopsy is optional but not required. If my curiosity gets the better of me, I can do one. They only are recommending that I do a liver panel again in 6 months and then again 6 months after that. If they both come back within normal ranges, then they would only need to be checked every year thereafter. ~~ Thank you for your supportive words. There is one other specialist in town that I know of that has treated a few friends. I would have to see if he accepts Medicare as a means of payment. Right now the Specialty Clinic does and only charges me $8 per visit. So part of who does my care is finiancial driven. If I get a biopsy then I definitely would want a second opinion of treatment is recommended at that time. I do get kinda confused on how to put all this together though. So it's a step at a time. I think you've made the right decision, to wait and see. It sounds like your are in good hands medically. However, it might be worth getting a second opinion to Pluto your mind at ease.

Yeah, you were right...I had thought of waiting on the liver biopsy...but the feedback that I am getting from you folks here and from my personal friends I am now beginning to reconsider my position. I am going through a medication adjustment right now with my mental health medications and I defintely want to wait until those are stabilized before having a biopsy done. Thank you for your kind words and offer of your wisdom. I now think that I will do the liver biopsy in a couple of months when other areas of my life are more stable. Then I can take the full picture and get reassessed and even a second opinion if it seem prudent. At least that's the best I can think of today. I commend you for being willing to look at what is working and what isn't....and to also to try another way to keep the job on better more workable terms. I have done this recently myself with a job that was to be 48 hours straight in a live in Assisted Living House with 5 Resident who are high functioning. I wouldn't sleep the entire time with a hyper-vigilant sense of duty in the night hours even though I was supposed to be able to sleep. So we changed to 8 hours on day time hours on Wednesdays and an occassional (one to two times a month) 24 Hour shift. Seems like it will work but will have to try it and see how it goes. Gotta keep my stress level somewhere on the map for the job to work for me. They are very willing to make the adjustments which is cool. I'll keep you posted how it goes.

, our son and his wife just bought a house and its the money pit ........ I swear and we are helping them. We have been gone so very long weeks off and on now.....Hope this is it for awhile. Our son has the hep c not myself but if I were in your shoes I would want a liver biopsy. Best wishes to you and your son's family on the house. My van seems to be the same way...a money pit. It's back in the shop again today. Will see tomorrow just how much it is this time. About the time I get any money saved up toward something new it breaks down again and just eats up what I've saved.

Thanks for the input on the biopsy. I'm getting closer to thinking it's the right thing to do.

Hey folks....I posted this message out to the group on July 17 and may have had a post from Sharon in reponse but no other input. This was surprising after all your previous supportive efforts. It was also at a time when several mentioned they were experincing being bounced. So there's the chance that it didn't even reach some. The abdominal ultrasound and liver enzymes were normal and no other areas were out of balance. My viral load is at 3.9 million but without anything else outta whack they are not overly concerned at this point.

They said that a liver biopsy is optional but not required. If my curiosity gets the better of me, I can do one. They only are recommending that I do a liver panel again in 6 months and then again 6 months after that. If they both come back within normal ranges, then they would only need to be checked every year thereafter. At this time, I think I'll hold up on the biopsy until such point that my liver enzymes become elevated unless ya'll can recommend otherwise.

They also are not recommending any medication changes either. This was a great area of concern for me and has really put my mind at ease.

So I guess I couldn't ask for anything better right now. It has taken a lot of pressure off my mind. I guess I just have to keep on eye on things and wait and see what happens. If everything progresses at a slow rate, then maybe there will be better treatments with less side effects when my turn for treatment comes around.
