That was my original question, could I get a perm?  Not this brazilian

treatment

to straighten hair, I am tired of mine being straight all the time.  I got

perms

all the time before I got diagnosed.  My daughter in law has a head of long

curly ringlets and she always pulls it back into a pony tail or trying to

straighten it.  It's gorgeous when down!!!

                                Thanks, Dee

Dear ,

Thank you, yes, your explanation is helpful. From what you say about the

Keratin, it is not for the non-professional to fool around with. My problem is I

want curly hair, but it is

frizzy after a perm. Do you have any suggestions for that? I had thick hair all

of my life until I started Gleevec, then it started to thin. While it appears to

look thick, it is because I keep it short and permed, so it has more volume.

Wishing you all the best with your business and your health,

Hi Lottie it's Esther i'm the one that wrote the explanation,no i would not fool

around with the keratin unless you new what you were doing. My suggestion to

you about the perm is use a perm that has a conditioner that comes with it, a

separate tube that comes with the perm your hairstylist would put it on after

you get rinsed off{ when your perm is finished} and the rods are out of your

hair the 2nd thing would be to use larger rods and put them closer together the

3rd thing would be the time usually perms stay on about 20 minutes but sometimes

you have to check to make sure it's not over processing hope this helped if you

have any other questions don' hesitate to ask.
