Guest guest
Thanks for this, Marti I'm just now seeing it as we've finally got power back after a 2 day storm caused outage. Not fun! From what I've learned over the yrs, Albion has the best reputation. I never noticed that Swanson's had this in a multi, and what a plus that it contains enzymes! I did not do well with the Natural Calm. It's been a few yrs, so my memory is hazy, but I vaguely remember telling someone that it had me anything BUT calm!! One man's meat, and all that................... Potassium is something that I take 'with care', though occasionally higher doses than that. I won't touch it for some weeks, then I'll suddenly realize that some of my symptoms seem to call for it, so I'll use it for a few days, then stop again. Potassium in high doses can stop the heart----------that's what they use to inject for the carrying out of the death penalty. Good enough reason to be a bit wary! Don't forget though, that an 8 oz glass of OJ has something like 400+ mgs of potassium. If one can handle the fruit sugar, it's helpful Sharon > > Hi Sharon, > I like the Albion Chelated minerals. Guest guest
My husband Nick has experienced strong muscle cramps. He's taken Gleevec since 2003. The cramps are strong leg cramps which send him out of bed from sound asleep to wide awake. Sometimes we put very hot, wet, towels on the cramp site until it calms down. Other times Nick puts Ben-Gay on the site and it will soothe away those cramps. Hardest problem is hand cramps during the day when he's carrying, walking and holding something, writing, typing, and boom! Strong finger curling hand cramps. He's dropped what he's carried because the fingers won't let him hold the items. Nick's tongue has cramped! His throat has cramped. That's scary when he's eating or has taken a drink of water, etc! Do any of you have other ways of easing body cramps? We appreciate each day though because it's a time to be together and share one more day. Yes, we've celebrated 50 years of marriage and each year is precious. Hope each of you has a warm home and loving companion to help and enjoy your days. Stay safe as you walk in the snows! , Nick's wife
Guest guest
I think the first line of treatment is Calcium supplements with magnesium to ensure absorption.  Also as much proactive stretching as you can find time for.  I get them in my feet and calves. Very minor issues with my hands. When I get them I try to bounce on the " balls of my feet " to help loosen them up.  Good luck, From: NICK WOODS <ksnwoods@...> Subject: [ ] Muscle cramping Date: Tuesday, January 25, 2011, 10:08 AM  My husband Nick has experienced strong muscle cramps. Guest guest
My mother also has had the cramps in her hands which caused her fingers to cramp under another finger so we had her magnesium checked and it was low as I expected. After she started taking magnesium daily her finger cramping went away!  ~Karine~ ________________________________ From: Mr Stickel <stick924@...> Sent: Tue, January 25, 2011 7:41:23 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Muscle cramping  I think the first line of treatment is Calcium supplements with magnesium to ensure absorption.
