Guest guest
, Thank you so much for looking that up! Since Monday and doing Dr. Bob Lawrence's supplements you sent me and I also added Gatorade and a banana too Thursday and Friday, it seems the cramping is calming down a little. Another question, I was reading a diary of a woman on LDN, and she said her twitching went away on LDN. My doctor called these little muscle spasms. To me they feel like little twitches, not at all painful, but sometimes you can see them. Can you still be sucessful on LDN and continue to have these, anyone that has had good results with LDN? I get them alot in my calves and feet and randomly in other parts of my body. Would this be considered part of spasticity and maybe therefore could be increased on LDN if that's how you react to LDN??? Thanks in advance, Annette
Guest guest
Hi Annette! I still get 'twitches' once in awhile. Not fairly steady like before. Also a cramp every now and then, but at least now it doesn't double me over. :-) Two years four months now on ldn, and (I believe) no further progression. Still have the fatigue and feeling of weakness, but after all the improvements, I'll take it! Have a Great Day all! Jim & Re: [low dose naltrexone] Cramping , Thank you so much for looking that up! Guest guest
I understand the employees at your pharmacy " knowing you " . When I go in the daytime, the cashier Joan is already looking in the " W's " . But Monday evening, after seeing the ENT, I walked up to the pharmicist to give it to her. And when I said that he didn't spell my last name right, she said, " I know who you are. But, you can ask your doctor for muscle relaxers (cyclobenzaprine) to help.and if you tend to get them in evening take one an hour before you usually get them. Normally you can take up to 3 a day.. also if they are in your legs at night and you think you have restless leg syndrome ask for Requip.. I tried the soap thing and didn't do a thing for me but then I didn't believe it would so why should it.......I know many PBCers tried the soap under the sheet and it worked for them.so give it a try. I also advise nice warm (not hot as that will increase any itching you have) soak or shower ..... if in hands only lay a bowl on your lap and soak them.and hey.after you soak them give yourself a manicure. ; - ) Blessings, Joanne Jj Cathcart jjcathcart@... Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > > My sister is experiencing painful cramping in her fingers and legs. etc. periodically. Do you know what this is from? The doctors she has seen have no idea. She says the doctors checked her electrolytes among other things but found nothing. She eats a banana a day thinking that it's potassium. Thanks you. > +++Hi Kathy. The usual cause of cramping is an imbalance or lack of calcium and magnesium. It wouldn't be potassium since it is found in so many foods. She probably needs some good ocean sea salt too, for the electrolytes (minerals). Bee
Guest guest
My neurologist gives me Skelaxin which is now sold in generic form. My hands are the worst at the time, because I am not on my trial drug due to toxicity. My hands take on a gnarled look and my feet turn inwards. The charley horses are on the sides of ky legs and I haven't found a way to stretch that. If they are on the back, I get a foot or so away from a door and just press forward like I am doing exercising to take the hardness out and they become more elastic again. I saw that Quinidine is not good for people who take TKI's. Check it out, I just posted something a couple of days ago.
