Hi Bee!

I have at least 2 teaspoons of Celtic Sea Salt per day...sometimes more (up to 3

teaspoons or so). I drink the electrolyte drink at least 6 times per day, plus

use the Celtic Sea Salt on my food. Sometimes I even just shake a few crystals

into my hand and eat it all by itself.

It is amazing how well this has lowered and regulated my bp.

Hugs,

Ellen

>>>Ellen, may I ask whether you took the ocean sea salt, and if so how

much?

Thanks, Bee

Hi Mila,

I check my blood pressure once a month. When I began taking LDN, I went from an

average of 125/73 to 136/80.

Here is a promising alternative treatment for high blood pressure:

[low dose naltrexone] blood pressure

Hi all.

in a last few days I have high blood pressure that is not responding

to drugs that I usually take. Actually it is as if I been taking

candys not drugs for lowering it ..

I wasn t thinking that it has anything to do with LDN...

but than I read this in a german study :

"

LDN, which is administered in singular daily doses, is well tolerated

(only mild sleep disturbances and lowering of blood pressure

manifested at the beginning of therapy) "

What is this lowering of blood pressure about?

Has anyone else had this problem?

thanks

best

Mila

My BP has never changed. I'm 110/60 - 120/70 forever. I take my BP every time I visit my distant chiro. Used to be 3-4 times a month, now I only go once a month, but my BP is still the same range.

I know exactly what you are going thru. I am on 3 different meds for BP and it

seemed to have been working well, it does get to one after you try to change

your lifestyle and we still have to put up with these issues. I was given some

med for depression but only because it got to the point that my pain was giving

me anxiety attacks. Listen, I have been on BP meds for 5 years or more. If you

need to talk reply and I would love to give you some more insight, Take care and

good luck.

Hi Geri,

Here's some helpful info on bringing blood pressure down through diet & exercise

(within your limits):

http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/public/heart/hbp/dash/new_dash.pdf

Getting enough calcium, magnesium, and potassium is important. The brochure

above gives detail on amounts and recommended foods. A few additional things

some have used include fish oil, olive oil, vitamin C, and niacin. However, I

recommend you research these items yourself and then discuss with your doctor

before trying. Stress reduction & relaxation techniques may be helpful as well.

yes, Armour felt like it relaxed me all over. (when I got enough). ppl who

continue to have low BP will need adrenal meds.

This was an odd case with below normal BP. I would describe thyroid meds

as " restorative " of normal BP. If you have high BP due to hypoT (the

more common condition), the meds will lower it. If your BP is somehow

suppressed, the meds will enhance the feedback controls that restore it

to normal.

Yes, this happens to me and my blood pressure which was like as low as 112/65

last Sunday (4 days ago) is now up to 148/84 and I am GUESSING that it is due to

two things, work stress, family stress and also or because i started cheating on

diet with only coffee!  I am also not getting much sleep due to coffee.

Hi Bee

I was on blood pressure meds when I first started this program back in June then

gradually my BP came down and I got off the meds. I'm now noticing the past 3

weeks my BP has been increasing again. I don't really want to go back on the

meds but I'm concerned that I may have too .... I also have this weird sort of

headache when these readings are high...... some of my readings are .... 142/86,

148/83, 153/86 anyone else experiencing this?

Could that be some sort of retracing possibly?

thanks

Maddy

+++Yes Maddy. Your body is " retracing " so your blood pressure will

fluctuate while the body heals itself. Ensure you are getting enough

minerals, i.e. ocean sea salt and good mineralized water, and also

helping your body detoxify, i.e. dry skin brushing, coffee enemas,

Epsom salt baths, etc. - see " How to Detoxify Effectively " on my

website.

If you are stressed, it can trigger high blood pressure, in which case

you should do deep breathing exercises whenever feel your blood

pressure rising:

Hi ,

Textbook BP is 120/80, but the normal range can be up to 140 for the

top number and as low as 60 for the bottom number. 135/70 is just fine.

Or if you know anything Atenolol and CMT? and breathing problems?????

Geri

Blood presser meds.....My doctor out me on Atenolol and it is killing

me........is anyone else on this, does it bother you? I call him and he told me

to get off it now! But I worry about my BP climbing out of control. My

Sometimes it takes a while for the body to get used to new medicines,

especially blood pressure meds. I've been on several over the years,

including atenolol. While I don't recall having any specific problems with

the medication, I remember not liking how I felt and stopped taking it,

mostly due to lack of health insurance at the time.

Trying several different meds over the years, I've had success with Diovan.

It has the least number of objectionable side effects. The down side is that

it's not available in generic form, so the insurance companies don't like to

pay for it. My doctor had to make a case for me before they would authorize

it, and the copay is double.

But it doesn't make me depressed, or too spacey, or cough non-stop, so I

think it's worth the extra cost. O

with no side effects and it has been keeping my blood pressure down.

Hello Geri,

I've been on Atenolol, Furesemide, and Digoxin ever since the Aortic

valve replacement 10 years ago. The dosage is important and needs to be

adjusted between your body mass, absorption rate, and the side effects as

well as blood pressure. Mine has been adjusted several times. I do have

problems with dry mouth and dizziness. Maybe it is time for me to have

another look at it with the cardiologist,

From my experience, not enough or too much can cause high bloodpressure. Or, if

you are not converting T4 to T3.

I did Google it, but was just wondering about the personal experience of

anyone here. My blood pressure is borderline high, so I'm on the minimum

does of blood pressure medicine. What I found from my search, said anyone

who is older with high blood pressure should take Levothyroxin only under the

close supervision of a doctor. My doctor didn't mention any affect on

blood pressure, so just thought I'd ask here. Thanks.

OTOH if you take too much and are pushed to hypErthyroidism then things

like heart palpitations can occur. I don't know about high blood

pressure even in those cases though.

When I had untreated hypothyroidism from RAI for Graves, my bloodpressure went

up. It also went up with hyperthyroidism.
