Guest guest
I am the opposite....my hot tub works wonders for me. I do exercises in it which helps me get moving and it really relaxes me which is a major help. Guest guest
Lucy, I was put on prednisone when my hand and wrist pain began and in 48 hours I was calling my doctor trying to explain my " bizarre feelings " . The nurse immediately said, Does it feel like you are outside your body trying to crawl back in?, well the answer was yes, if words had to describe the feeling, that would do it! I agree, pain was worse. Actually, my body did react OK to a much smaller dose but it only bought me time until the pain returned and I found my way to a rummy that diagnoised me with RA and have experienced the pains change paths through out my joints. My RA meds have helped and am doing better. All of us react so differently to meds that one never knows. -----Original Message----- From: Rheumatoid Arthritis [mailto:Rheumatoid Arthritis ] Sent: Friday, March 12, 2004 8:06 AM Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: Digest Number 637 There are 16 messages in this issue. Hopefully you all can help me. I am 44. I was diagnosed with RA about 4 years ago by a Rheumatologist to whom I had gone because of finger stiffness and soreness. After about six months the problem let up. Sixteen months ago I had a baby. Thirteen months ago my entire arms from the tips of my fingers thru the shoulders started aching painfully every day. Other joints (knees, etc.) ached as well but not consistently. My sister and brother take MSM for arthritis (car accidents) so I started that. It helped me be almost painfree except for my elbows. My Family doc diagnosed elbow tendonitis. Now it is 13 months later and the elbows are getting progressively worse. I cannot pinpoint any activity to blame for tendonitis. Therapy and exercise cause more pain and swelling. I am seeing another Orthopedic Specialist tomorrow. Here is my question. Does anyone in this group think my elbow tendonitis could be related to my RA? My Family doc says " no " . Thanks for your time. I'm new here and hope I can get some info. I have been seeing an ortho doc for about 7 years for pain in my hands and wrists. He has hinted at RA, but won't confirm the dx. I have seen a rheumy, who did nothing for me but slap me on some celebrex and that's it. I have basically been dealing with the daily aches and pains up until the last 6 months or so. My pain is mainly right sided (knee, ankle) severe in my wrist. Ortho doc has done an MRI which showed a lot of fluid between all the bones in my wrist. My sed rate was elevated (68) but the rheumatiod factor is still negative. I am at a breaking point. I am only 34, have two children, a great job, and in otherwise great health. I have always been a very upbeat, active person, but I have been VERY down, and VERY tired. I don't know what to do now. I have another appointment this Friday with the ortho doc (he did the same blood tests again.). If anyone has any advise I could really use it. Thank you so much. Guest guest
Tess, Thanks for your reply. Will await those interesting vco cures. I've read in one of my google " researches " that coconut water applied to the eye can remove cataracts, or give better vision. I don't have any cataracts but do wear glasses, and yesterday i applied coconut water into my eyes and immediately followed it with a hot towel compress. I repeated this ritual whenever the towel's temperature lowered for ten minutes. It felt a teeny weeny stingy but quickly disappeared. And I can say that it is safe enough to do as I can still email you guys about it. It removed the pain in my eyeballs which i had for three days. My vision slightly improved but not that great. One has to do this ritual for two weeks. So i shall continue and keep you posted.
Guest guest
Dear melly and everyone else, Yes I will do that. By the way, Dr. Bruce and were able to meet the HIV patient as well as the one who has a MYOMA. In fact they have heard the stories of others too who attributes VCO to having cured them from their ailments. Bruce and were in the Philippines for 13 days, meeting with VCO producers, visiting VCO plants and manufacturers, coconut farmers and scientists, medical practitioners, Coconut Industry executives and friends. Will get back to you guys with my stories. Tess Quoting Coconut Oil : > > There are 13 messages in this issue. > > Topics in this digest: > > 1. Re: Pork > From: " nmoliver1 " <ninalynn@...> > 2. There are other seaweed/aloe vera products sold in health food stores or online (e.g., Sea Energy), so it's possible these may be as good for you, but of the ones I've tried, none were as good as Seasilver. I think this is because they've done something to it which lowers the surface tension, which increases absorption (it also doesn't need to be shaken up before use, which is unique and must also be related to this processing) ++> Thanks again, very useful information. I will look into SBO's and Custom Probiotics. Iused to be too allergic any bacteria to take any form of probiotics as it would trigger an allergic reaction in my stomach. However I'm doing better and find I can tolerate probiotics now. Can't tolerate Grapfruit seed extract since its citrus. Thanks for all the links. Best Wishes Probiotics -- fight off the bad yeast/bacteria with good bacteria. Seems like the higher-potency probiotics work better in general. The highest potency one I've found (and the one I still have in my fridge) are from Custom Probiotics: http://customprobiotics.com/ The founder of this company had chronic candida, and believes the only way to overcome it is by massive amounts of probiotics. The dosage I took was 200 billion organism a day, which is about 100 times more than what you'll find at the brands in the health food store. Soil Based Organisms -- there is a class of good bacteria which is not normally found in the human digestive tract, but nonetheless it loves to feed on candida and wipe it out. There are a variety of products out there, but the one I've been using (and is easy to find in the health food stores) is Primal Defense: http://gardenoflife.com/detail_primal_defense.shtml Citrus (Grapefruit) Seed Extract -- said she had problems with citrus, although I'm not sure that citrus *seeds* are the same thing as eating citrus. I know that in my own case, eating oranges makes my ES worse, however, citrus seed extract seems fine. The best product I've used for this is Agrisept-L, which is an MLM product but is also something that I never develop a sensitivity to (unlike the store brand " GSE " ): http://www.aragonproducts.com/theproducts.cfm?master=6521 & owner=694 With all of the above, it would be wise to start with small amounts (to prevent a massive die-off) and build up to the recommended dosage (or whatever dosage you find works best for you) Marc _________________________________________________________________ Be the first to hear what's new at MSN - sign up to our free newsletters! http://www.msn.co.uk/newsletters
