Guest guest
Hi All, After reading that stupid article, I just had to add my 2 cents!!! I can't believe that a site like baby zone would be that misinformed about plagio!!! Hi, I just wanted you to be aware that the article on your web site is inaccurate. I don't understand why you would allow something that isn't true to remain on your web site. Plagiocephaly is a MEDICAL CONDITION. It is NOT cosmetic!! A cosmetic procedure changes normal structures of the body in order to improve the patient's appearance. A reconstructive procedure is performed on abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. It is generally performed to improve function, but may also be done to approximate a normal appearance.* Many babies with plagiocephaly that do not get treatment, will have a deformed head for life. In most cases, it doesn't " round out on its own " I'd like to know if you'd consider yourself a " nutty " parent, for doing all that you could for your child. Have you ever seen a child with severe plagiocephaly? I think if your going to have articles like this on your web site, you need to make sure the person writing it knows what they're talking about. It is obvious that Meredith O'Brien doesn't know anything about plagiocephaly! It is called plagiocephaly NOT flathead. I'd like to know how many parents have been misinformed about plagio, because of this article. I am a member of baby zone, but until that article is either removed or redone accurately, I'm unsubscribing. In the future please make sure the articles you print are accurate. Thank you, Healy A " nutty " mom.
