Guest guest
I was so happy to haul my three very sick kids in for IVIG last Wednesday. Their nurses were a bit concerned that all 3 had been so sick despite treatment from pcp, so called their ID dr. down. He checked them out, agreed with pcp's plans, and gave me guidelines to gauge what may not be working and what I needed to call back about. I made a comment that I was so glad they were able to come down for their infusion, bc they'd been so sick and hopefully it would help to get them over their illnesses. And he gave me this odd look and said, " You know, I don't know of any studies that prove kids get better from anything after an infusion. " But I have SEEN it. Even just slugglishness, the kid might seem to be getting run down, and be more energetic after an infusion. Illness....I cant count how many times my kids are ill before infusion, then the next day, they feel worse in whatever area is sick, and then they start to get better. That's not a coincidence. Our nurses have seen the same thing with many patients. What do you guys think? do you see this in your own PIDD kids? valarie mom to 3 w/cvid
Guest guest
When we were doing IVIG the 1st 24 hours dd felt great with lots of energy and if she was sick she quickly went on the mend. When we switched to sub-q she had more energy all around but we'd still see that healing boost with infusions. 11 *almost 7 months off SCIG and doing great! FINALLY pulling labs this week. Still looks like the CVID was caused by Pyroluria! ---- osdbmom <osdbmom@...> wrote: > I was so happy to haul my three very sick kids in for IVIG last Wednesday.
