Guest guest
KRISTI My neuro surgeon says he will band up to 14 months - beyond that he wont cause there are no statistics showing beyind 14 months which he is hoping to change. But there are statistics he uses that say under 14 months - AWESOME results! Remember that a ped isn't really qualified to make the diagnosis and that a neuro surgeon or cranio tech, should make the diagnosis and treatments. At 10.5 months you will still see FANTASTIC results! - > > Pictures of Abby that MIL sent us. > > > > Debbie > > > > Elaine sent me this which I will make you a copy at Kinko's when I > have time > > to get there. Guest guest
Kristi: You're new pediatrician is wrong about that! Yes, Abby began her DOCband at 11.5 mos of age, she wore one band for 4.5 mos and rec'd 50-60% correction of her severe plagio....we are thrilled with her results! We never had any measurements done of her, so I can't give you those. I have a zillion pictres of her before & after on my home computer (I'm at work now), I'll be happy to forward them to you if you'd like. But here are her before & after pics from the plagio.org webpage before & after: http://www.plagiocephaly.org/support/before-after.htm Abby is the 3rd head down (the last I think). I'd also be more than happy to type something up for you to bring to your ped. talking about the success we had with Abby's DOCband at her older age. Don't hesitate to ask! We've had many many members who have also had good success with banding their older baby! Hope you can convice him of this.
