I think we are all wonderful parents who will do anything for our children. We should all give ourselves a lot of credit for being persistent and getting things done. If they only knew the lengths we go to make sure they have the best start in life!!! I could never fully understand everyone telling me that the love I would have for my child is like no other until my little angel came into our lives. It is overwhelming!!!

Gail,What a pain huh? It wasn't even an option in mine or my husband's mind whether we were going to wait for approval or not. Without even discussing it the plan was - act now, worry about insurance later. I'm just glad that the neurologist didn't hesitate at all when it came to approving the band. I couldn't stand to wait while 's head got worse and worse. Oh how I wish your lottery theory was true!! hehe I know that if insurance doesn't cover the cost we're looking at a pretty steep sum. It doesn't help that I'm a SAHM and we rely completely on my huband's income but luckily is the first baby on my side of the family and everyone has come together offering to help out if needed. We've started a Fund in the family!! It seems the best way for me to get through all this is to keep positive and persistence!!! I'm so thankful for everyone here who has such great advice and support to offer. & (5 months, band on 8/26/02)> > You probably saw from my earlier post that our external appeal > upheld Cigna's original denial. Yeah, I know what you mean about relying on that single income. That's great that your family has offered to pitch in. As far as grandkids go, Sam and Sara are numbers 8 & 9 on my side of the family, and numbers 12 & 13 on hubbies, so there's not much interest in starting a fund for us. Maybe your family would like to temporarily adopt some really cute twins in Texas? We have 1 payment left to CT and we're done. We have managed, although this month we are really feeling the financial pinch. My husband keeps reminding me that it's just money. We'll skimp and save where necessary to keep me at home with the kids and meet all their needs. Regardless, I would still like to get that $6000 back from Cigna. If and when that happens, everyone here is invited to a party at my house!!! Let me know when you hear from Cigna about 's band...
