Guest guest
Great article by Simon Renal Impairment in the D:A:D Studyhttp://www.thebodypro.com/content/67526/renal-impairment-in-the-dad-study.html?ap=2009 I surely hope they come up with effective tenofovir free combos in the future. I am really concerned that as we grow older, our kidneys will not be able to withstand long term tenofovir exposure and eventually give out. The use of boosted PI's in combination with tenofovir seem to make the problem worse.Too bad that some of us with Hep B need to take this drug, although entecavir may be an option for us if our kidneys fail.BMS has a new nucleoside in the works. Also, GSK-ViiV is working on a long acting combo without nucleosides.
