Guest guest
thanks to all who responded to my inquiry about needing a third band. emma was casted for her second band on thursday and did SO well. i had though it would be tougher now that she's older, but it was even easier than the first time. she just cried a little at first (while on her back) and then played with toys when we sat her up. she had eye surgery on friday to unblock a blocked tear duct, and she did really well with that too. she's such a little trooper! of course, now she has what looks like a black eye, and with the band, she really looks like a little boxer or something. : ) i'm hoping band #2 does the trick and that she has some great growth spurts. i recently received my insurance appeal denial. they stated that there was no peer-reviewed medical literature to support the positive health benefits of banding. for my appeal, i included some articles that i found through this website. i thought they were from peer-reviewed journals... does anyone know anything about this? or where i might locate some? any help would be appreciated! thanks again! amy mom to emma (born 9/24/01)
Guest guest
Hi Amy, I think I included some articles with my successful appeal that weren't from this website. I'll have to check when I get home from work tonight. I'll try to get back to you tomorrow. , 's mom Southern California --- amy_coppedge <amy_coppedge@...> wrote: > thanks to all who responded to my inquiry about > needing a third band. > emma was casted for her second band on thursday and > did SO well. i had > though it would be tougher now that she's older, but > it was even > easier than the first time. she just cried a little > at first (while on > her back) and then played with toys when we sat her > up. she had eye > surgery on friday to unblock a blocked tear duct, > and she did really > well with that too. she's such a little trooper! of > course, now she > has what looks like a black eye, and with the band, > she really looks > like a little boxer or something. : ) > i'm hoping band #2 does the trick and that she has > some great growth > spurts. > > i recently received my insurance appeal denial. they > stated that there > was no peer-reviewed medical literature to support > the positive health > benefits of banding. for my appeal, i included some > articles that i > found through this website. i thought they were from > peer-reviewed > journals... does anyone know anything about this? or > where i might > locate some? any help would be appreciated! > > thanks again! > amy > mom to emma (born 9/24/01) > > __________________________________________________

Guest guest
My daughter goes to Atlanta GA for her adjustments. All the time I see articals on the success and the good the D.O.C. band has done for children in place of surgey. Is this something you think you need? If so, I can mail you these papers on the band and all the success stories they have .Let me know I'll be glad to help you out. -is(10m) mommy amy_coppedge wrote: thanks, christina. that would be great! since we're on our second band and may need a third one, i am really, really hoping i can beat this insurance thing!thanks again, amymom to emma (born 9/24/01)> > thanks to all who responded to my inquiry about> > needing a third band. > > emma was casted for her second band on thursday and> > did SO well. i had > > though it would be tougher now that she's older, but> > it was even > > easier than the first time. she just cried a little> > at first (while on > > her back) and then played with toys when we sat her> > up. she had eye > > surgery on friday to unblock a blocked tear duct,> > and she did really > > well with that too. she's such a little trooper! of> > course, now she > > has what looks like a black eye, and with the band,> > she really looks > > like a little boxer or something. : )> > i'm hoping band #2 does the trick and that she has> > some great growth > > spurts.> > > > i recently received my insurance appeal denial. they> > stated that there > > was no peer-reviewed medical literature to support> > the positive health > > benefits of banding. for my appeal, i included some> > articles that i > > found through this website. i thought they were from> > peer-reviewed > > journals... does anyone know anything about this? or> > where i might > > locate some? any help would be appreciated!> > > > thanks again!> > amy > > mom to emma (born 9/24/01)> > > > > > > __________________________________________________>
