Re: & Rhiannon

Hi Debbie:Wow, this board is so active (which is GREAT!) that I almost missed this post! Rhiannon is doing GREAT!!!! She just grew out of her 2nd (and last) DOC Band, and she looks GREAT! We will post pictures soon, as soon as we have a free moment (ha ha - like moms and dads EVER have a free moment!) I don't know what degree of improvement she has had - I know you can still see some of her own "freestyle" headshape, especially when her head is wet, but really, only one of us "eagle-eyed" people can see it.Her facial asymmetries look great too! Most of the time even I cannot see them!!!! (Remember the first orthotist who told me that the facial asymmetries do not go away and grow with the child?) Considering what she could have looked like without the DOC Band, I know she has had at least a 95% correction. Her ears are ALMOST in line (remember the first orthotist who told me she had NEVER seen the ears move? And poor Rhiannon's ears were a whole ear off from eachother!) Her forehead is so close to being straight across (Remember the first orthotist who wasn't even going to bother herself to treat Rhiannon's forehead bossing?) And her cheeks do not appear to be off at all! All I can say is THANK GOD for the DOC Band, and for their expertise and dedication to their top-notch product. We do our exit casting this weekend, so this is our last trip to Wisconsin. Wahoo! AND, best of all, her tort is resolved! We only have to visit her osteopath every 3-4 weeks now (to check on her and make sure she doesn't slip backwards during a growth spurt or aquirement of a new developmental skill), but otherwise she is GREAT! Yesterday while we were on a walk, she cranked her head up and back over her tort side to see me!!! Something I had never seen before. And just tonight, she looked over her tort side shoulder and up to see the TV. We are so proud of her and so happy!!!!To everyone who listened to me, comforted me, gave me information, or just simply shared their own story, THANK YOU. To those who are just starting out on this journey, HANG IN THERE. You will get here, and it is SOOOO worth it!Kind regards, and Rhiannon, DOC Band graduate and torticollis RESOLVED!!!!> Hi :> Checking in with Rhiannon & her great DOCband progress - hope you > have another good update!> Debbie Abby's mom> MIFor more plagio info

I am so happy to hear your great news! It's

absolutely great, and your effort was abviously well

worth it!

I cannot wait for the day that I can say the smae

thing about Vivian's tort & plagio. Sometimes this

just seems like it will never end. i just try to

remind myself that this is all temporary (sort of!)

and in a year from now this will be over.

It is definately stories like yours that keep the rest

of us going!

& Vivian
