Hi & welcome to our group!

Is Monday's appt at the orthotics place where helmets/bands are

made? Do you already have a prescription for a helmet or band for

? If you do have the rx already, then you might be going for a

casting. Do you know what type of band or helmet will be

receiving? It sounds like it will be either a STARband or a locally

made helmet - DOCbands are made only by Cranial Technologies.

Some clinics take measurements of the child's head, others don't. My

daughter Abby wore both a STARband & a DOCband but never had any

measurements taken of her head.

what they will do. Our first visit was to talk, ask questions, ect,

the next day we came back and they casted Jeffry. Where are you

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the info. I do have a Rx already. I'm not sure what type

of band/helmet will be used. I guess I'll just find out everything

tomorrow. I'm hoping to get through everything ok. I'm going to try

to call in advance tomorrow and find out exactly what will be

happening during the appointment. Thanks for the help. I'll let you

know how it goes.
