Guest guest
Christi: What a smartie pants Mya is ! Sorry she didn't re-adjust to it as you had hoped. Hopefully she'll forget about it again soon & go back to her content & happy little self with it on. Lots of parents have had their child try to take the band off and pull at the velcro. Many have put duck tape over the velcro - that way the baby cannot pull the velcro off, it works great from what I've heard. I think I've also read of parents putting a diaper pin thru the velcro to keep it shut too......not positive about that though! Good luck....only 2 more days til your husband comes home!! YIPPEE.....also so glad your A.C. is fixed, how nice of your church members to come fix it so fast for you! Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Well Mya is in her 2nd band. Guest guest
Christi, I'm sorry Mya is off to a rocky start. I hope she gets used to it again very soon!! I know I've read either on this board or the other board about ways to keep your baby from opening/taking off their band. Maybe you should search the archives? That was really nice of your church members to fix your air!! I don't know about your dogs,if they were mine, I'd tie them up!! Please let us know how Mya is doing in her band, over the weekend.I'm sure we won't be hearing from you, the first couple of days the Hubby is home! Have a great time!! > Well Mya is in her 2nd band. Guest guest
WEll Mya slept fine in the band last night. She seems to be doing better in it today. She hasnt messed with the velcro at all today. But she has yanked at the band a couple of times. But its getting much better she isnt pulling at it as much. And shes let me take it off and on a couple times so I could get her dressed and pull her hair into a little pony tail. so Im glad for that. Well I did chain the one dog up and she ended up getting out of the yard anyway with the chain still on her. She was just on the opposite side of the fence stuck there. So I had to go out and fix it. So I tried to move her so she wouldnt be close to the fence so what does she do then. Breaks the chain because she kept running so hard and choking herself that it eventually brokeand she got out of the yard again.SO i had to attempt to fix it and chain her with a shorter chain since she broke it. Shes been on the chain since I fixed it for about 4 hours. Im hoping it will last till monday and then can deal with her. I got to see last night, I snuck out there. It was sooo good to see him. Im hoping I will get to see him again tonight. Christi > > Well Mya is in her 2nd band. Guest guest
Christi, Try putting a hairclip around both courses of velcro at the point where the band is open. Not the type of hair clip that click closed, but the simple type that you need to push the metal aside/uder another peice. (Sorry this is hard to describe.) Adele got the velcro off once on her first band, and I just happened to have a hairclip that was just long enough to go over the width of the velcro. It worked perfectly, and she didn't bother with it again. - > Well Mya is in her 2nd band. Are your dogs in heat? That might be a reason why they are suddenly trying to escape. I know I sound like Bob Barker, but " Get your pets spayed and neutered! " You know how he always says that at the end of TPIR? I know Debbie and Kellie will recognize that! Dane's mom DOC Grad
