Mya gets 2nd band tomorrow!

Well tomorrow is the big day. Its been 3 weeks with Mya out of the

band. And although I was so irritated to have her out of the band for

so long I am sooo not looking forward to her going back into it.

Before I lay her down each night we have a little routine I take her

into her dark room and just rock her for a few minutes while she just

lays there and sucks her fingers and I rub her head and her ear (she

now rubs her ear when shes sleepy its so cute) And Ive been doing

this since she was tiny. When she had the band on it was alittle more

awkward but I still kept the routine but I had to rub the top of her

head and then take turns rubbing her ear and top of her head. Well

anyway tonight as I was in her room rocking her with our normal

routine I found myself tearing up and getting sad. This will be the

last night for several months that I get to rock her and rub her head

and feel that soft little snuggle she gives me before i lay her down.

Now we will be back to hard plastic against my face when I hug her.

ughh I know its for the best and I will be so glad when her head is

nice and round and her ears are alligned but I am sooo dreading her

getting that band back on. Im really glad I got these 3 weeks of

bandless time after all. I think it did both of us some good to take

a break from it. Im hoping Mya will be ok going back into her band

after the break. I worry she will resist it. but I worried about this

with the first band and there were no problems so I imagine there

will be no problems this time either. Anyway Ill be leaving in the

morning and staying over night in Charlotte. So ill post on Friday

night and let you all know how Myas doing!

Oh and FYI hubby comes home Monday Yeah!!! 5 weeks has been too long!

Good luck today!! You'll probably read this after she already has

her new band....how's she handling it?

I know exactly how you are feeling, like I said before, Abby had a 2

wk break in between bands, and I was very sad to put her back into a

new one. She handled it just fine, as did I!

I bet you're SOOOO excited to have dh home Monday!
