Guest guest
Hi all, This is my first post. My name is Mike and I have just finished day 4 of week 1. ( I know what you are thinking, I am a rookie!) But I wanted to let you know what it has been like so far. First of all, I am a cancer patient who is in the middle of my chemotherapy cycle and a MS patient who is in the early stages. I was seriously depressed about all this happening. One day I looked in the mirror and just wanted to scream. So I bought the BFL book. I read it. I read it again. And then I read it one more time. I brought the book to my doctors office and asked him if it would be okay for me to do it. He said " Of course! " If you had told me last week that I would be up at 5:00 to be at the gym at 6 ( I live in rural central NY) and be at work by 8:15 ( special ed. teacher) when I don't have to be there till 8:45, or if you had told me that I would have taken all the GS cookies that I bought from students and froze them or gave them to the guys who live upstairs from me, or if you had told me that I would let anyone take a picture of me in shorts, and no shirt, I would have told you that you were crazy! But all of that has happened. I weighed myself at the gym today and have lost 6 pounds!!!! (Beginners luck? Maybe, but hey, it is 6 less pounds!) I am really excited about fighting not only the diseases that I have, but taking back my life. This is how I am doing it. I have been through worse, with less payoff. I am going to do it! This time it isn't a diet, it is FOR LIFE! Thanks for being there. Mike
