Guest guest
Hi Larry: Sorry hasn't gotten as much correction as you had hoped for. Is the helmet is wearing a passive style helmet? Meaning it doesn't apply any pressures to the head to help push the flat side out.....most locally made helmets are passive, and I'm pretty sure the Children's Hospital helmet is passive. The reason I'm asking, is becuz you probably wouldn't get much more correction in a passive style helmet past the one year mark. The child's head growth slows considerably after age one or so. Now if the helmet is in is a STARband or an active design, you could definitely still get more improvement with a 2nd helmet. My daughter is proof of that, beginning her DOCband at 11.5 mos with very good improvement in one band. Good luck with your decision, it's a difficult one to make. Please let us know whatever you decide. Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Our son is nearing the point where he has grown out of his > helmet.
