Re: Questions with fit of the helmet

Hi Shimi,

It definitely looks like the helmet comes too close to their eyes.

My daughter's STARband ends right above her eyebrows. When she first

got it, it was really loose and at the first week followup they added

padding so that it would stay put. It would always move close to her

ears too. Finally they cut out a bigger opening aroung the ears.

That helped also.

Hope this helps.

Hi Shimi:

I am sorry but I wasn't able to download the photo you attached, I

think it was too big for my ancient computer to handle :(

You said you had an appt earlier today though, I am curious to hear

how that went & to hear if your orthotist made any adjustments to

either band.

Please let us know how the appt went, I hope the bands are fitting

better and are to your liking a bit more now.

They are SO adorable! Dakota's helmet also fits down close to his

brow, but that's just cause he needs correcting in the front (two

different flat spots). I too have twins, and if you get a chance you

should come join us at twinstuff.com ! It's a GREAT 'bulliten' board,

and MANY other twin parents to ask questions. My screan ID is

litlmomma, and I hope to see you around! Good luck!

Amie mommy to Dakota (STAR), and Dayton!
