Guest guest
Quite a number of us went through a few days of being sooooo tired. For me it was broken up into a couple of weekends, so it worked out ok as far as being able to work. I was also taking 3 mg. You could try taking it earlier or later and see if that changes anything for you, but I don't know of anyone who didn't get through it in a few days. Best of luck, (MS) ----- Original Message ----- From: " mommacanquilt " <jlill@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Sunday, April 25, 2004 2:33 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Tired > Hi All, > I just started LDN 3 mg on Wednesday. Guest guest
Hi again, I am still waiting for my second number RA factor - maybe today. One thing I wanted to say though is that I have not been in the least bit tired at all - not one little bit. Not in the past months, weeks or days. Can you still have RA and feel totally energetic? Thanks, Kath who is fairly uninformed in this arena!!!
Guest guest
Chris--just hang in there! Just say NO to what is not absolutely essential for you to do right now--give yourself a break and take it easy. Do your job to the best of your ability. Come home and go straight to bed if you feel like it. Don't worry about other things and explain to your wife that this is part of your illness right now, and have her read the posts on this site--it will help her too. It may also be depression...talk to your doctor about trying an antidepressant--one of the " activating " kinds, not the sedating ones. They would be Zoloft, citalopram, escitalopram, Wellbutrin, Prozac and Cymbalta, plus others. Insist on this if you must--don't let your doctor tell you it is nothing. Your quality of life is too important! Be a tiger. I am on Cymbalta for diabetic neuropathy but it also really helps with fatigue and pain of many types and I feel much better mentally since starting it, too. Take a good multivitamin--GNC has some good powerful ones (Men's Ultra-Mega) and that is what you need. Just know that you are OKAY and that people love and care about you, and that things WILL get better! You will be in my prayers for sure. Hang in there and don't give up hope. God loves you and has plans for you--plans to give you a hope and a future, not disaster! Hang on! It does get better. I meant to answer you, but I do not see a post from me on here regarding you being tired. How long are you on Gleevec? Just hang in there, because these meds react differently on everyone. Some of us feel that the fatigue goes away or lessens after a period of time. I have been on Gleevec for 8 years, and I still get very tired. I do not know what you do for a living, but if you can work around the fatigue that would be great. When your home, if you need the rest then your family has to understand that Gleevec is a form of Chemo. Most people think that because I took this little pill that it corrected everything, and that I am just fine. Nothing comes without a price, but the side effects are easier to handle than having CML. Just post on here to everyone whenever you need a little pick me up or advice.
