Guest guest
Hi Christi I feel your pain! Dylan learned how to take the band off and first i tried duct tape but he got that off, so then i got the O.T to extend the velcro, again the little monkey worked how to get that off. So again i put duct tape on the extended velcro strap this did work for a while, basically he did know what he was doing but he only tried to take it off when he decided he was bored, if i quickly stopped him and said no and i then distracted him with a game or a toy and that worked quite well. The main problem was when i was driving as then i could do nothing but luckily i was never driving too far. Hope it goes well. Are you listening Mya leave that band alone! lol! Guest guest
kerry LOL! I hope Mya heard you! Yes Mya decides she wants to mess with the band when were driving and also if I dont get her immediately out of her crib when she wakes up (I usually let her play while I get dressed and brush my teeth) then she has the velcro off and band half way off. Im hoping after shes been wearing it a while shell quit. WEndy has mentioned a hair clip so I am going to try that and hopefully that will help! What a little hoodini Dylan was getting it off even with duct tape on it thats so funny! Christi > Hi Christi > > I feel your pain! Guest guest
The tip I heard of keeping the band closed is opening the velcro and sliding a rubber band that has been folded twice to make it smaller over the strap. Then put the strap back through the metal loop and close normally; then you can slide the rubber band over the strap to keep it closed. I hope that makes sense. Guest guest
Christi, Well that was a rocky start, but I'll bet things will smooth out real soon. Debbie suggested the two things I've heard to keep baby from opening the velcro. Duct tape and a diaper pin are the two things I've heard mentioned in this group. Hope she gets back into the swing of things real soon and I'm glad your AC is fixed! Yuck! Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma

Guest guest
Christi, Sounds like you have had a rough couple of days!!! Good mommy instinct kicking in and taking that band off- when I was miserably hot, I would take the band off because I knew he would be worse!!!! Glad all is back on track!
