Hello...

You know what's weird....every day i see something else. Whenever we take

's helmet off to clean it and bathe him..i look at his head....and one

day i'll think man it's not working...i don't see any improvements...and the

next day i'll think that I see it working...and his head is starting to round

out. But then the next day i'm back to thinking it's not working. I know

it's hard b/c i see his head every day..and i know it's not going to take 2

weeks..but i can't tell if it's working. I want to believe it is..and i try

to look at pictures and i can't tell. I guess i'm just hoping that has

a really big growth spurt and i'll see a huge difference..LOL....

And he wears the helmet 23 hours a day. He's been wearing it that long since

the beginning..so i know it's good that he has it on all the time..and i'm so

thankful that so far we have no problems and he isn't affected by it. But i

want to see improvement...i guess it's that instant gratification thing..LOL.

I just wish i knew that he was having some good growth. And i know the

first week we went she said she could see some growth in the occipital bone

on the bottom of his head...but i'm afraid we are going to go back next

Thursday (which will be 2 weeks from our last visit...3 weeks with the helmet

on) and Charlotte will say that there has been no growth..and i'll be so

disappointed. I know the dr told us he would have to wear it for 2 months

and Charlotte said most babies his age wears it for 2-3 months..and i know

those are just averages..but i guess i'm hoping that it doesn't take longer

than that...and obviously i'm hoping that we get good correction.

I just wish i could tell that it's definitely working...

Anyway, just needed to vent...

Thanks,

Mom to

you re calling every one of us moms weird-you know that. I did the

same thing with I still look at his head and think is it flat and run

him around the house with a wet head saying to hubby is his head flat

again-then tomorrow it looks as beautiful as a bowling ball-not weird at all.

Just our eyes playing tricks on us-when you see the headsicle you will know.

Hang in there momma it is working- now grow grow:-)

LOL Beck!! Thanks!! I'm glad to know it's not just me...

I'm setting my expectations too high and part of me is expecting to take that helmet off one day and see this perfectly nice round head...LOL..and i know in reality that's not going to happen. At least not yet...

It's just hard not knowing whether it's working...and i'll find out next Thursday if it is....

Thanks again!! You made me feel better!!

LOL Beck!!!! I still do the same with - some days I'm like, uh-oh, looks a little flat- other days I'm like, look at that round head! I still look at his head shape wet in the bathtub from above, just to make sure those ears don't move again- all clear there too!! Are we destined to a life of head shape scrutiny or what! I was also doing that during treatment with the DOC band- your eyes really do play tricks on you- don't worry!

I'm right there with you ! And my Zack has only been wearing

the helmet for two days!! I found myself looking last night to see if

there was any improvement. Our tech said it was reasonable to expect

50% correction from our locally made passive helmet (which would take

Zack from 12-14mm to 6-7-> more like his sister is now). I must have

thought all of this correction would take place in the first night!

Also -> funny helmet story with Zack. Zack has always been a

dedicated back sleeper. I could reposition him onto his round

side..and he'd stay that way usually..but he was always on his back.

Since he got the helmet he's flipped himself over both night to sleep

on his stomach! Apparently it's easier to roll over with the rounded

back of the helmet, than his flat back of head! What a silly boy.

Thanks !! LOL..i believe that....

One thing i do have to say is the helmet is great for protecting 's head though!! He sits up really good now on his own..but of course he's all over the place..falling back on his head...rolling all over..and without the helmet...his head would get hurt..but with the helmet...he's protected..LOL. When we have the helmet off for the hour..i get so paranoid and am right behind him in case he falls back..lol...when the helmet is on...i feel so much safer...I've heard people say that before..but it's so true...

Anway, thanks!

We've all been where you are! Like you said, one day you think you

see improvement, the next day you don't see any at all! It's very

frustrating.

But at your next appt I would think CT will have 's original

head mold in, so that will definitely give you concrete evidence if

his head has improved or not.

Hang in there!!!

But then there are other times, like tonight's

bath, when I am just in awe of how wonderful her head looks! I

sometimes think that she might even be getting more correction as

time goes on because her head has been encouraged to grow in the

proper direction. But then again, there are times when I don't think

that.

Niki,

Did i just write that? I feel the same way about - its so aggravating!

It sure does come in handy sometimes, doesn't it!? I know it saved a few knots on little ' head too!

Jo,

I haven't signed the petition as I am not in the U.S. nor am American. But I am

curious about this so could you send me the link and I will try it from here in

Europe.

[ ] Weird

My mother-in-law got the web address from me, but when she tried to open it,

there was a skull and crossbones on the screen that said if she continued on

then it would damage her computer---something to that effect.....don't know

what that is about....hopefully others are not getting that same message with

the website.

If anyone else is having this problem or any other problems getting to the

petition, please e-mail me all of your information personally to <A

JPiker@...</A> and I'll enter it manually. Hmmm, you think someone is

trying

to sabotage us?
