I would try to wait until he's really conked out, and then turn his head to the right. Since he has right tort, he is favoring putting that head to the left (with the buckle), so I would see if you can sneak in rotating his head to the right when sleeping- we did this with and it really helped with his tort. This would help with his tight muscle, and give you a moments rest by him not being on that buckle. Good luck!
