Another update on Skye

Hi EveryoneSorry it has been so long since I updated you guys but have been very very busy.Skye will be 19 mths old on September 6th and still is not walking by herself or saying clear words. But she did take one step by herself a month ago. She goes into hospital on Wednesday September 4th for surgery. She has no middle ear function and a moderate hearing impairment so they are going to have a look to see if they can find the problem - and more than likely put grommets (tubes) in. Hopefully after the surgery things will improve more. She still sees Speech and Occupational therapists and a Physio and she is slowly improving they say that she is at the stage of a 1 yr old at the moment developmentally. I still think alot of the problems are caused by the plagio and the fact that she was almost 8 mths old by the time we began treatment. She has such a personality now and such character. I had some photos taken of her about a month ago however I can't post them as i am having trouble making the file smaller. They were saved onto cd for me so I am still trying.I hope everything is going well with all of you.I will update again soon ( I will try anyway)RegardsnnaBrisbane AustraliaFor more plagio info

Best of luck with Wednesday's surgery on sweet little Skye. I really

hope they'll solve her hearing problem & that will help her progress

with her walking, speech, etc.. Hearing/ear problems can cause

numerous delays, so I bet this will help her immensly.

Please let us know how the surgery goes Weds., thanks for your

update. Hugs.

nna,

Thanks so much for keeping us posted on little Skye- I really hope the

surgery will help correct some of her hearing troubles which will in no doubt

help also her speech. Good luck with it- praying for great news from your

next post.
