Guest guest
Hi & welcome to our group I am assuming you're talking about the Cranial Technologies Cleveland clinic, I don't have any personal experience there, but many members have - I'm sure they'll give you their input. Would you mind sharing more of your son's plagio story with us? His age, etc.....Thanks & welcome again. Guest guest
My son was born at the Cleveland Clinic. We had a lot of problems there with them writing prescriptions 5x the proper dosage for his weight, poor communication between the staff, etc. The capper on why my children will never receive treatment there again is because they told me to only lay him on his right side (hold him on his right side too). Laying him exclusively on his right side caused positional tort and plagio. I was really shocked when I found out that they make helmets there and still gave us such damaging advice. He was under the care of a couple of neurologists too during his stay there and nothing was every mentioned about rotating his position or warning of the signs for plagio and tort. Someone I worked with had a son who wore a helmet from CCF and they were pleased with the results. I met another person at church whose friend used a CCF helmet on her son and they were very displeased. A CCF dr had his son in a DOC Band a while ago because he was not impressed with the CCF helmet. Sorry if I'm a little biased. They have caused us a lot of harm over the past 11 months! If you live in NE Ohio, I really recommend and at StraightAhead in Mayfield Hts. (271 and Mills). They have appts on the weekend and did a great job on Dane's noggin. Feel free to email me offlist if you want rmanias@... Dane's mom DOC Grad > Our son has been diagnosed with possible plagio , our ped is sending > us to the Cleveland Clinic.
